Kaplan’s Student Services Manager will hire, manage, and coach the center service team which could include Associate Services Managers, Operations Specialists, and/or Student Advisors. He/She will be responsible for the overall Kaplan student experience at the Atlanta center by managing the center service team, customer touch points, and day-to-day operations. In addition to ensuring an excellent student experience, the Student Services Manager will oversee human resources, operations and payroll expenses, facilities, technology, and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop an effective team by providing ethical leadership, training, coaching and development
- Ensure excellence in all student experiences in the local center and at offsite locations
- Develop and implement course delivery improvements based on student surveys, feedback, and inquiries
- Drive operating income by controlling expenses through efficient center processes, effective class scheduling and staffing
- Become a Kaplan test expert, including admissions timelines and Kaplan’s courses and services
- Advise students with professionalism and expertise, use a consultative sales approach with new prospects
- Resolve student concerns and lead center staff to take proactive measures to prevent customer complaints
- Serve as Designated School Official to process international student visas, maintain F-1 student files in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Negotiate contracts with schools, vendors, and businesses
- Coordinate and serve as contact for all facility maintenance and repair and manage in-center technology
- Manage billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and materials inventory ; ensure center compliance with national policies and procedures

Requirements
- 3+ years experience in operations, sales, or comparable area of management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Ability to work extended hours in order to meet business objectives
