Interested in fly fishing? I am a local Atlanta angler with more than 15 years experience catching fish, specifically trout, on the fly. Come enjoy some of the best trout fishing waters in the entire southeast right here in Atlanta! Whether you are looking for some basic casting instruction, or just wanting to learn more about what it takes to be succesful on the trout stream, I can help you get there. Sessions are 1-3 hrs. and include the following:
1. Introduction to fly fishing (rod/reel/line explanation)
2. Private casting instruction, covering proper presentation and technique
3. River "know how" (how to read the water to determine the most probable place trout will be hanging out)
4. Hatch (food) life cycle for trout in the rivers/streams here in Georgia
5. Guided trip to the water to put what you have learned into practice. (Available for 3 hr. sessions only)
Sessions are held on the Chattahoochee river at the following parks:
Paces Mill
Whitewater Creek
Cochran Shoals
Buford Dam
**All gear is provided, including:
rod/reel outfit, waders, vest, and boots.
Sessions are $25.00/hr. for each participant
3 hr. guided session is 60.00/person.
