Brand Specialist Summary:
A corporate marketing staff position responsible for supporting the integrated brand strategy. Under guidance of the corporate brand manager, this brand leader assists with and coordinates various brand development and management activities including planning, research, trademarks, creative, advertising and publicity. The brand specialist works closely with all corporate and divisional marketing groups in order to support a consistent brand message throughout all types of communications and customer touch points.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
„h Supports brand strategy development and implementation
„h Supports annual brand planning process; collaborates in development and communication of annual Marketing Communications plan, and coordinates programs to increase brand awareness, loyalty, preference and market share
„h Owns brand standards and usage guidelines; coordinates implementation and ensures adherence across divisions
„h Coordinates various research and analytic activities including brand performance metrics and competitive and industry analysis
„h Coordinates integrated advertising and publicity plans for corporate and business unit initiatives in support of brand objectives; coordinates and tracks media schedule and work flow
„h Assists in developing creative copy for marketing collateral, advertising, public relations and other marketing activities
„h Owns trademark process and information; advises brand manager and division marketing on trademark practices and viability of new brand, product or component trade names;
liaises with corporate legal department and legal resources to search for and secure trademarks
„h Collaborates with trade show manager to provide focused, cohesive, on-brand trade show experiences; assists in the organization and tracking of integrated trade show plan
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
„h Bachelor¡¦s degree in business, marketing or related with a demonstrated history of varied marketing experience
„h Two to five years experience in brand management activities including marketing communications, market research, advertising and publicity, promotion, merchandising
„h Experience with copyright, trademark, and marketing law and practices
„h Experience with agency and supplier management
