An American Family Insurance Agent is looking for a sales associate to help drive sales. You will work inside and outside the office for sales. You have base pay and a compensation plan. American Family Insurance is a mutual insurance company that has been in business since 1927. We are a fortune 500 company, headquartered in Madison, Wis., and one of the largest property/casualty insurers in the nation.
Requirements for the position include:
Must be willing to obtain a Property and Casualty License, get Life and Health License in the future (you pay for this first and we will reimburse after you pass the test). Candidates who already have their licenses are preferred!
Education: High school diploma, College degree preferred.
Bilingual is a Plus!
Work experience: Ideal-two years (Administrative or Insurance industry)
Monthly sales goals are required
Office /clerical abilities are essential must have superior organizational skills
Requires general computer knowledge and operations of MS office
Multi-tasking and the ability to work in an interdependent environment are a plus
Must be a self motivated and have the desire to drive sales
Customer Service orientated attitude
Flexible schedule available/ Part-time
Applicants’ criminal history must not include:
• A felony conviction in the past 10 years (If a felony conviction is beyond 10 years, the applicant must have written permission from the State Insurance Department.)
• A misdemeanor conviction or ordinance involving dishonesty or breach of trust including but not limited to: theft, shoplifting, burglary, robbery, forgery, fraud, or embezzlement in the past 10 years
• A misdemeanor conviction involving domestic abuse within the past 10 years
• A misdemeanor conviction involving violence such as battery or assault within the past 5 years
• A pattern of violent behavior
Driving Record:
• Two DUI’s in past ten years not acceptable
• Three serious violations in past 10 years, such as DUI, reckless driving, driving after revocation or suspension not acceptable.
Credit: 6 months clean credit (no current negatives) 3 years not Bankruptcies. This is a very important factor; if credit is not clean we cannot offer you the JOB!
