Remember Tim Donaghy? The NBA referee who was caught betting on games? The public outrage toward him was understandably huge, but Al Gore is doing the same thing! No, not betting on basketball, but rather the outcome of events which he largely controls. Ironically in 2007, the House Energy and Commerce Committee sent a letter to NBA Commissioner David Stern, threatening action if the NBA didn’t handle the Donaghy situation. I wonder why the very same committee didn’t send a similar letter, to a single one of the four companies Gore is associated with, after his visit to Capitol Hill in April…
