Job Specifics
* Grow new market opportunities for our product line in various channels at retail, food service and gift markets.
* Directly responsible for new business development and national account development
* Responsible for developing sales forecast and reporting as required
* Prospect and develop cold call sales appointments as well as company generated leads and interest.
* Review market analyses to determine market size, market share, and new market or new product opportunities
* Act as liaison between marketing and communications to leverage in the field initiatives.
* Consistently hit quarterly sales goals and profitability marks.
Sales Support
* Responsible for the development, training and sales of new business and existing customers
* Manage Brokers and their teams and accounts
* Field service calls as required
* Supply project leads to field sales organization
* Be a primary source of product information to the sales dept, communications, distributors, and customers.
* Assist with the development and training of distributors and customers
* Trade Show and industry association participation
Annual Marketing and Business Plan
* Participate in the development of plan
* Develop annual sales goals by market and territory
* Implement priorities and actions to obtain goals
* Function as liaison for engineering product development recommendations and changes.
* Function as liaison for all product changes and additions to literature, installation instructions and sales tools.
* Review and approve job contracts
* Perform special assignments as required.
Applicant Qualifications
* College graduate or equivalent experience
* A minimum of 5 years experience in the consumer goods industry.
* Ability to relate to our target customer and market as well as retailers, distributors, brokers, end users and non profit partners.
* Proven track record as a team member and effective communicator
* A consumer goods / retail market aptitude with a general understanding of the various channels and market / product development.
* Must be results oriented with a high level of work intensity and a bias for action
• Strong knowledge of and contacts in the southeast calling on top Fortune 500 accounts and the region’s major brand advertisers
• Successful media sales record of at least 3 years including at least 1 year in the online sector
• Superior skills in all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, presenting, negotiating and closing sales
• Understand and embrace the entrepreneurial environments and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to the building of a premier online media company
• The ability to sell based on value not price and a knack for consultative selling
• An understanding of the digital media landscape, as well as a solid grasp of technology and the Web
• Strong understanding of industry trends, technologies and pricing models
• Strong knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis
• Excellent understanding of agency dynamics, how they operate, and campaign buying and planning
• Understanding of audience profiles, online ad targeting, and campaign optimization
• BA/BS degree required

Responsibilities Include:
• Responsible for promoting Company products as a professional sales representative to all assigned existing and prospective accounts.
• Perform outside prospecting activities to identify qualified accounts for new customer generation
• Collaborate with manager to develop a creative plan to generate leads through prospecting multiple sources, through sales calls, primarily door-to-door, to seek the placement of product in high volume areas
• Establish and maintain good relationships with clients, networking groups, professional organizations and the community in order to develop new business.
• Develops and maintains productive working relationships with customers that allow sales and marketing goals to be achieved.
• Ensures customers are well satisfied with products and services.
• Follows direction and leadership of the assigned Area Manager.
• Required to attend daily meetings and training sessions
• Sales/Customer service experience with a record of consistently exceeding quotas.
• Previous experience as a Sales Professional in a fast paced quota driven environment.
• Must be able to provide own transportation.
• Able to pass a background check.
• High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Makes sales presentations to prospective customers as requested.
• Must have laptop computer
• Meets established quotas and sales goals.
• Must sign up for a PICK 2 Home and Mobile Internet Service (Company Reimbursed)
• Experience with short sales cycles and closing consumer accounts.
• Background in telecommunication service sales strongly preferred.
• Proficiency using Excel, MS Word, Outlook, and the Internet. Salesforce.com is a plus!
