Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as developer to enhance and build new systems
Producing Code: produce, review and document high quality code reflecting programming and security best practices.
Solving Problems: interest in and capacity to recognize technical problems and to solve them.
Team Interaction: ability to work well in teams to proactively share knowledge, information, problems and solutions.
Understanding Requirements: Understanding the underlying business requirements, and capacity to create code that will meet same
Minimum Training and Experience:
Software developer who has experience in developing software applications based on Java Enterprise Edition. The Java developer will work in a software development team on data exchange projects mainly. The developer will participate in development efforts throughout the design, build, test, production release & ongoing maintenance phases for projects. The developers main responsibilities will be in working struts and JSF applications with an Oracle backend. This is a position to be filled by someone who enjoys programming in a challenging environment and wants to help improve the technology available to the states judiciary. Sun Systems certifications favorable
Bachelors Degree Required
Masters Degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have worked with J2EE based web design projects within the past year. In particular, the following skills & experience are highly attractive for any prospective candidate:
1+ years in J2EE software development
3+ years in web application and user interface software development
Experience with Enterprise Java Beans
Experience with Java Server Faces
Experience with JSP/Servlets
Experience working with relational database systems
Experience with Java web container and application servers like Tomcat and JBOSS
Experience with XML Schemas
Experience with CVS or other versioning system a plus
