POSITION DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wandering WiFi is looking to add a mid to Sr. level C++ developer to the device development team. This person must be a solid C++ veteran developer that is also willing to mentor other team members. Experience on the mobile platforms such as Windows CE, Windows Mobile and Symbian are preferred but not required. The C++ Developer position is responsible for designing and developing commercial grade enterprise solutions for a wireless / mobility management application using the latest Microsoft Mobility and .NET technologies and other technologies, as appropriate.
• Translate mobility management business requirements into technical designs.
• Create innovative software solutions following object-oriented best practices from design through implementation (including design, documentation, testing, using Visual Studio 2008 and Team Foundation Server)
• Work in a team environment to build, integrate and support applications on mobile device platforms (primarily C++ on Windows Mobile).
• Participate in mentoring other team members and contribute to the best practices for the team
• Contribute to the development of the technical design and requirements that drive product development
• Self-starter and team player with strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Results-driven and goal-oriented attitude
• Conscientious about producing the highest quality of work
QUALIFICATIONS:
• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years development experience with C++
• 1-3 years of Mobile Development experience (C++, .NET Compact Framework)
• Minimum 2+ years working on either commercial, shrink-wrap and/or Enterprise class application software
• Strong Object Oriented design and analysis skills (3-6 years application development experience with object oriented languages)
• Proficient with using UML to model software designs
• Experience with full software development lifecycle
