If you have court appointed community service hours to complete, did you know you cannot work directly with children, the handicapped or the elderly?
There are not too many choices when it comes to serving community service hours- you can pick up trash along side the highway, you can work at the landfill or clean up dog poop at the animal shelter. These may sound like lots of fun but trust me they are no fun at all. I have a better offer!
The National Council for the Prevention of Impaired Driving (NCPID) is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit public service agency headquartered in Atlanta serving the needs of impaired drivers. Our goal is to provide the public with the necessary tools to safely handle the impaired driving issues we all face. To accomplish this goal we created the SafeRide™ America Program, a year round program dedicated to driving impaired individuals and their cars home safely.
Click on the link below to join our team! Work with some really cool people that want to spend their community service hours making a difference in the community. We need volunteer drivers to drive their own cars (gas is reimbursed and mileage is tax-deductible) to act as chase car drivers from 8pm to 4am.
Here's a breakdown of what you'll be doing: When you arrive at our office, you'll be partnered up with a SafeRide employee. You will drive the employee in your car to a location we have been called to. You drop off the employee, the employee drives the client home and you follow behind. Then you pick up the employee and go on to the next requested location. It's that easy.
You need the hours-we need the help! Please
