Are you looking to forward to a fun filled day of picking up trash along side the highway? Sounds horrible to me. SafeRide America is a 501(c)3 nonprofit public service agency headquartered in Atlanta, serving the needs of impaired drivers by providing proactive transportation solutions to help eliminate the impaired driving problems that put us all at risk.

Our goal is to provide the public with the necessary tools to safely handle the impaired driving issues we all face. To accomplish this goal we created the SafeRide™ America Program, a year round program dedicated to driving impaired individuals AND their cars for them. We need volunteer drivers to drive their own cars (gas is reimbursed and mileage is tax-deductible) to act as chase car drivers from 8pm to 4am, 7 nights a week.

Here's a breakdown of what you'll be doing. When you arrive at our office, you'll be partnered up with a SafeRide employee. You will drive the employee in your car to a location to which we have been called. You drop off the employee, the employee drives the client home in the client's car and you follow behind. Then you pick up the employee and go on to the next requested location. It's that easy. We reimburse you for your gas at $5 per ride.
