AIPT is continuing our Global Career Launch (GCL) program in Atlanta in the summer of 2010. GCL places university students in unpaid six-week internships in the United States, exposing them to American work-life and culture. Everything is included for the students including housing (at Georgia Tech), transportation, weekend cultural activities and J-1 visa sponsorship, making for an easy transition from university to summer internship life. There is absolutely no cost for host employers; all expenses are covered by the students’ program fees and AIPT. GCL is a fun experience for everyone involved! Program dates run June 25 – August 7, 2010.
We are still looking for host employers interested in hosting students with the following academic backgrounds:
-Finance
-Tourism Management
-Accounting
-Marketing
-Business
-Economics
-Information Technology
-Liberal Arts
All students attend University in Hong Kong, Macau, or mainland China
In the last three years, GCL has successfully placed students in Washington, DC, San Francisco, Atlanta, Honolulu, and Chicago. Previously, interns were tasked with a 6-week project, administrative assistance, or event preparation. The student applicants are matched with employers based on their resumes and the employers’ needs. Student resumes will be forwarded beginning in January 2010.
