| Support for children, elderly people and tribal communities in mountain villages in Tamil Nadu state April 5 - April 18, 2010 Yercaud is a beautiful hill station in the state of Tamil Nadu with a fantastic landscape - surrounded by coffee and tea plantations. The volunteer project is organized in cooperation with local NGOs to support local children, old aged people, and the local community. Starting from this year, the international volunteers will be also working with the local tribal community in the field of education, renovation, environmental protection, spreading health and hygiene awareness among the tribal villages. The volunteers will be working together on building a more peaceful and working environment. The work will be in villages in the beautiful mountains, isolated from the rest of the world.
