My cousin bought this dress in 2004, and it's never been worn or altered. It is labeled as a size 10, but she was a size 5 at the time, if that gives you an idea of how it fits. (She is also petite and said the dress is ideally for someone 5'4" or under, given the length.) The dress has been carefully stored in a smoke-free home and is in immaculate condition.
The dress showcases the crystal-beaded & embroidered detail throughout the bodice, around the bottom, and down the back that Alfred Sung is renowned for. The sheer lace overlay of the skirt accentuates the embroidery adorned by pearls and crystals in formations of meandering flowers and fern-like leaves. The strapless bodice has the same pattern framed on the top and bottom by a beautiful border of smaller pearls and crystals. The border continues down the back of the train on the lace, and the back of the bodice is lace-up (with a hidden zipper for convenience). There is also a sheer lace shawl with the same border that accompanies the dress, as seen draped over the hanger in one of the pictures.
$800 was the original retail price paid for the dress four years ago from a South Georgia bridal boutique. We are asking $200 OBO, since it's in such good condition and is such a classic design. I would be happy to deliver the dress to the Greater Atlanta-area location of a serious potential buyer for her to try on (no pressure; I just can't host a fitting @ my residence thanks to a rowdy dog my roommate owns!).
