Experience/Knowledge Training Required:

Estimating Responsibilities:
1. Perform Estimating Administrative Functions – Ensure bid logs and calendars are maintained and the information they contain is used in prioritizing the bidding schedule of assigned projects. Ensure bid folders and files under the estimator’s control contain all relevant bid information in proscribed formats. Complete sets of vendor material pricing lists will be compiled and maintained. -Document changes that will facilitate cost savings and increased productivity in the Distribution Center. Communicate with Store Support Center staff on the benefits and risks involved in changes.
-Serve as Project Manager for new rollouts or launches. Instruct the launch team on processes, act as resource for affected managers, and report to Sr. Management team at the Distribution Center on the challenges and successes of the rollout.
-Work closely with the Distribution Center Director and Sr. Managers on Distribution Center driven directives.
Prerequisite Skills/Experience for Position:
-Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering combined with practical experience.
-MBA or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering is preferred, but not required.
-2 years of traditional industrial engineering principles and techniques.
-2 years of project experience preferably within Distribution Centers and/or Logistics settings.
-Knowledge of distribution center operations, logistic functions, material handling concepts, administrative procedures, industrial engineering practices and principles, budget formulation and application procedures.
-Functional experience in project management, developing and implementing work measurement and standards, and productivity analysis skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to operate a personal computer and associated software (including AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Access).
-Ability to influence, negotiate and develop relationships at all levels of an organization; ability to schedule, plan and manage projects; ability to analyze the financial and logistic feasibility of projects.
-Possess the ability to calculate work measurements and productivity analysis and meet established deadlines.
• Reviewing and scheduling potential project leads to determine feasibility of quoting.
• Contacting engineers, customers,sub contractors and material suppliers to identify product specifications used on the project.
• Research customer and engineer’s websites to locate project drawings and specifications.
• Ordering project drawings and specifications.
• Preparing the Blue Print/Bid Takeoffs -- responsible for estimating accurate man hours, materials, timelines & schedules to complete the projects
• Preparing material, labor and misc. costs.
• Preparing quotation letters and / or quotation packages for submittal.
• Preparation of shop drawing / specifications submittal's.
• When necessary, visiting job sites to obtain information required to confirm understanding of drawings

• Minimum education of high school diploma.
• Minimum of 3 years in College in the engineering field
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point or Mac Pages, Numbers & Keynote

Fulltime position located in Norcross, GA. We are not interested in "contract drafters" at this time.
The candidate will be required to perform tasks ranging from simple redline corrections to creation of Complete Control Panel Submittal Documents from scratch.
Experience with AutoCAD 2009-2010 a must, AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred. Applicant needs to be fluent in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
Must have good communication skills.
