According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (2000), the savings rate for single women is 1.5% compared to 2.1% for single men. Over 70% of the United State's four million elderly poor people are women; 48% of this group are widows. Women still earn 74 cents for each dollar a man earns. These statistics illustrate a staggering gap between women and men. Men are traditionally in the role of sales, which requires the ability to communicate quickly on their feet, negotiate, and be persuasive. In order to change the statistics, women stand up to be seen and speak up to be heard!
