Harlie is a young and spirited four year old gelding. We believe he's a pure Racking horse, but there are no papers to prove so. He's been ridden many times, all of which he's done splendid. Loves a bath and loves to be braided and pampered. He's definitely a "Momma's Boy" and enjoys plenty of attention. He needs a very experienced rider who can take lots of time with him to get him up to where he needs to be. I've brought him as far as I can, and my lack of facilities and training knowledge forces me to find him a better home. He is skittish and spooky due to his abusive background. We rescued him in 2006 from a farm where he was sure to die; he was malnurished and abused and ridden hard as a small two year old, so it's clear to see why he's taking so much time to be retrained properly. He's very smart and enjoys being around people. He is a very curious horse, so be prepared for a snooper! He lunges both ways like a pro, stops on command, walks on a lead fine, backs in hand. He's good with the farrier and vet, UTD on everything. Recent Coggins check. Has been taught harmless tricks just for fun (handshake, etc). In the saddle he's done mostly walking. He neck reins, stops and goes easily. Rides with a hackamore, because he absolutely REFUSES to have his ears handled (again, due to the abusive background). Was gelded as a 3 year old, so he's still got that stud spirit about him, however he isn't stupid or vicious. NOT A CHILD'S HORSE YET. Could potentially make a beautiful competition horse or even an advanced lesson horse. Again, he needs someone with experience and time. Has been "retrained" and ridden by a 16 year old. I have hatching eggs available for Blue Breasted Button Quail. They are prolific breeders and hens will lay one egg per day during the proper season or more often as controlled with artificial lighting permits. I am getting almost 100% successful hatch rate here. Your results will vary, with shipping and your particular incubation method a factor. These quail are mature and breeding as early as 6 weeks of age.

All of my stock is hand raised in a private facility with no other birds. This is not a business, just a well invested hobby. The pairs have been selected over a period of several years and much work. They are picked for health, size, and color conformation. I have all colors / varieties and your hatch will yield most of the following; white, blue breasted, red breasted, normal wild, chocolate, silver, pearl, cinnamon, splash, pied and others.

All eggs are collected fresh daily, inspected and shipped in order of payment received. Ususally no more than a day. I ship throughout the country out of San Diego, Ca. 92116

These quail are excellent choices for all aviaries and cages as they provide a great service, meticulously cleaning the bottoms of discarded seeds and fruits from the other community birds. They are low maintenance and will provide you with eggs on a regular basis, and year round under artificial lighting.

Eggs are 50 cents each and shipping is 2-3 day Priority Shipping at a flat rate of $12.00, for up to 48 eggs. You will also receive information and hatching instructions to get them off to a good start.
