Established Concrete contractor has an immediate opening for a full-time estimator.
This position will involve but is not limited to the following functions:
Reviewing and scheduling potential project leads to determine feasibility of quoting.
Contacting engineers, customers,sub contractors and material suppliers to identify product specifications used on the project.
Research customer and engineers websites to locate project drawings and specifications.
Ordering project drawings and specifications.
Preparing estimate take offs.
Preparing material, labor and misc. costs.
Preparing quotation letters and / or quotation packages for submittal.
Preparation of shop drawing / specifications submittals.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum education of high school diploma.
Minimum of 3 years experience in construction estimating and / or construction engineering.
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point or Mac Pages, Numbers & Keynote
Experienced in the use of the internet.
Good communication skills.
Able to deal with deadlines and to multi-task.
Strong work ethic, team attitude and dependable.
