HealthPort, a one-source healthcare solutions provider, is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Oracle Developer position in Alpharetta, GA.
Design, develop, test and/or maintain various applications within HealthPort while providing technical support and troubleshooting that are beyond capabilities of the help desk or customer service. May assist in performing on-site client work. Operates under general supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test and maintain Oracle database procedures and functions
Provide technical support and troubleshooting that are beyond capabilities of help desk or customer service
Analyze and rectify QA and production problems
Ensure proper functioning of applications in a production environment
Develop reports using PLSQL
Writing technical and application specification and design documents, unit test plans and other project communications. Developing data and object models for associated functional and technical areas.
Defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, and interfaces with other systems.
Other tasks and projects as assigned by management
May mentor developers
Job Requirements
3-5 years of experience in Enterprise-wide development with Oracle database as the backend.
In-depth understanding of relational database concepts and database theory, analysis and design; development of requirements.
Solid knowledge of Oracle/Unix development environment using a standard interface tool such as Toad or SQL*Plus.
Willingness to learn, and ability to self-teach in areas if necessary
Excellent multi-tasking and verbal and written communication skills.
Oracle forms experience is a plus.
Oracle Certifications are a big plus
Education:
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
