I've had him for almost 3 months now and he's full of energy and full of love. Unfortunately, i've gotta boxer and cocker spaniel already, i'm staying with my family and it's extremely hard for them to take care of 3 dogs when i'm away at work all week.

as much as i know about McLovin:
Loves, absolutely LOVES people, he's like a cat and does circles between your legs, if you're sitting down he comes and lays next to you or in your lap.
LOVES DOGS, NOT AGRESSIVE AT ALL. he plays with my boxer and my lil cocker spaniel.

never been around cats to observe behavior.

He needs: EXERCISE (you must have a fenced in yard or be able to walk him often, he's crate trained and does not bark when you leave him).
Training: When we have in the garage he would rather go outside, even for long periods of time. I have been praising him every time he goes outside and he's very smart and gets the point, but when left for too long there have been a few accidents.
He likes to chew, move things around, pick up shoes and put em' away, i believe most of this is from lack of excerise and attention. My boxer did the same things but all i had to do is get him more exercise, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY.

He's on flea and tick preventative, and has a rabies shot.


There is no adoption fee but you must show that you're able to support the dog.

When we are home, he is the best dog imaginable, he minds well, knows basic commands, has no food aggression at all, and has a very calm demeanor. He has an unusually low energy level for a terrier, and prefers sleeping on the couch snuggled up against his family to anything else. He is not a ball or toy dog, but will play chase until he gets bored (which is quickly). He loves car rides to the point that he will jump in any open car door. He is a bit of an alpha dog and gets along well with some dogs, but not so well with others as he is territorial with his home. He has always done well with children but has never lived with them. Hiring an inexperienced or inadequately insured pet-care provider can result in both heartache and unexpected costs for pet owners.

To help ensure pet owners get the best level of care and security for both pets and property, it is recommended that pet owners start right by reviewing the credentials of their pet sitter or pet-care provider. Taking the time to find a qualified caregiver for your pet brings added security for your animals, home and possessions. What's more, an appropriately credentialed pet sitter can reduce a pet owner's personal liability should something happen while the owner is away.

Uninformed pet owners might not think through what could happen while they're away, and often rely on well-meaning neighbors or those under the age of 18 to care for pets. If you utilize your neighbors and they break something in your home, it may not be covered under your homeowner's insurance policy. As for professional pet sitters, their pet-sitters policy should include dog-bite liability, which keeps the pet owner out of the line of liability should something happen.

Liability insurance and dishonesty bonding (if the sitter has employees) are not options, but requirements for a pet owner's peace of mind and safety. Pet Sitting average claims filed for vet bills and damage to personal property typically ranges between $2,500 and $3,000. Do you provide or emphasize training during my dog's stay?
Do you offer discounts for more than one dog?
Do you offer discounts for paying on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis?
What is your cancellation policy?
What shots does my dog need to be admitted?
Are you a member of the Georgia Network of Professional Pet Sitters? or Pet Sitters International? or National Association of Professional Pet Sitters? or Professional United Pet Sitters? or the Better Business Bureau?
Can I have a list of references?
What do you do in case of emergency?
Do you have a vet on call? (Your sitter should in the event they cannot reach your vet)
Are you bonded and insured?
Who will have access to my house (keys and security code)?
Have you experienced any incidents with any of your clients, such as stolen items, damage done to the house, etc.?
Can I meet the dog walker/sitter? Is there a fee for interviewing the pet sitter?
What time will the pet sitter come to walk my dog?
How long will you sit/walk my dog? Do you provide additional walks or play time for an extra fee?
Who will take care of my dog if the pet sitter is not available?

Here is the issue: He has either an upper respitory infection or an eye infection ( I have been wiping his eyes clean every 30 minutes or so...it is greenish/watery goop)

I called my vet and they want 43 bucks just to see him...there is no way that fits into my budget...

Is there someone who has antibiotics I can give him? Or, better yet, a rescue or home that will take him?

I have a big mean Tom cat and two big doggies that would love to "play" with a kitten so I cannot keep him, but while he is this small I can contain him in the laundry room until I find him a home.

That family must do what the have to - I totally sympathize with them since I was once in that situation. I had a huge chunk taken out of my hip because I was bit by a German Shepard when I was a kid. Hell, and I did not even provoke the dog!

I have a litter box (I bleached it when the rescue was supposed to come and get it), little less than half of a large bag of cat food (I bought in bulk, he was a big eater), cat litter - conveniently in a container that I purchased, litter scoop, cat toys (a krinkly tunnel, mice, all sorts of little toys) and 4 cat scratchers (2 of the small carpeted kind and 2 of the round ones with the ball track on the outer edge). I also have a small bag of catnip left. Everything is in great condition. Only one of the scratchers was used frequently, but it still has lots of life left in the carpeting.
