I am so tired of people trying to make it seem as though if you are black and feel a strong connection to other blacks you are racist. If you are white and feel the same way, you are proud of your heritage. In this country you can not look out into a crowd of people and only see Americans. Because if you are white, you are "American", but if you are black you are an "African American". I've never been to Africa, I was born in America
If we were all equal blacks would not need extra words in "American". We too would just be Americans.
