Illegal Immigration and Amnesty
If there is one issue that has far reaching effects upon our American way of life, yet no one addresses, it is illegal immigration. Neither Presidential candidate mentioned this subject in a manner favorable to the safety and security of our Republic during the 2008 campaign. Instead they pandered to radical groups like La Raza seeking the Hispanic vote, this is shameful and unacceptable.

If groups like La Raza, and those are supporting it, place furthering the illegal immigrant agenda over that of America I consider them seditious and treasonous.

This is not about “undocumented workers”; it is about the federal government protecting American citizens. And I do not trust new Homeland Security head Janet Napolitano to meet that standard.

Illegal immigration adversely affects our economy, jobs, national security, crime levels, education, and healthcare. One could make the case that it is singularly the most devastating issue for America. Yet our elected officials say and do nothing to rectify the situation.

One side seeks to provide cheap labor while the other side seeks to remake the voting electorate in America, through granting amnesty…which we tried under President Reagan.

Talk radio host Michael Savage sums this issue up nicely; borders, culture, and language.

In 2008 there was estimated 6900 drug cartel related deaths along our border, that number is already more than 1000 for 2009. And we still continue the idiocy of having open borders. Members of the Obama administration are attempting to blame gun proliferation in Mexico on the US. This is just another attempt at gun control in America.

If the issue is guns getting across the border, then seal the border and have controlled access points. We have a US Border Patrol agency which is outmanned and outgunned along the border.

I advocate moving the USBP under the Department of Defense in order to provide proper training, equipping, and better personnel resourcing for the important mission of securing our border. We can lateral transfer members of our Armed Services with Iraq and Afghanistan experience into the USBP for their expertise.

There must be obstacles to deter the illegal aliens, human traffickers, drug runners, and Islamic terrorists who are exploiting our porous border. I support some type of physical deterrent, fence or wall, anything which will canalize activity to areas where we can have better control.

We have to end the failed ideal of “multiculturalism” as it pertains to subjugating American culture to every other culture. The practice of easily obtained student visas led to the horror of 9-11. We can no longer grant these visas, or any others, to citizens entering from Countries known to harboring terrorist groups, especially Islamic terrorist groups.

We must clean out our prisons of illegal immigrants and have harsher penalties against illegals perpetrating crimes against American citizens. The “anchor baby” practice must be terminated. Lastly, any American city classifying itself as a “sanctuary city” must be cut off from receiving any federal government funding.

America is a Nation of Americans and therefore there should be three types of persons here; Americans, those wanting to be Americans, and guests. We must take pride and declare English as our official language. I am sick of being prompted to “press 1 for English”. The most vital element uniting a people is a common language; anyone voting against this measure should not call themselves an American representative.

There are millions of Americans unemployed and lacking proper benefits for to sustain an adequate standard of living. However in this recent “stimulus bill” amendments for e-verify were removed, enabling illegal immigrants to secure jobs which should be for Americans.

The US Constitution has these three mandates; ensure domestic tranquility, promote the general welfare, and provide for the common defense. All three of these directives relate to the issue of illegal immigration.

Florida has moved into the top four in America suffering from this issue.

The answer is simple, enforce the Constitutional mandates, and protect Floridians, protect the American people.

You have my commitment to do just that!

As a defender of individual liberty, I choose to recognize that the unborn life is the life of an individual. It is a dependent individual but an individual nonetheless. An individual that cannot speak for itself, but has genetic material from two individuals and not one. The mom carries the burden of pregnancy and labor, the father has still contributed to the decisions to engage in an act that could lead to reproduction.

Can we not argue that reproductive rights start with the process that leads up to conception? Every person exercises their reproductive rights when they decide to to hop into the sack with someone. The goal of reproduction, biologically speaking, is to produce offspring which means that reproduction ends with a successful pregnancy. Our pregnancies may last longer than most animals but it does not mean our womb babies are completely different from the post birth babies. Primates practice infanticide to cull the young so the mother can mate right away. Are we doing the same thing? Is it convenience at the expense of another?

Rapes and forced artificial pregnancies of other sorts might the only cases where I can personally, reluctantly support the idea of abortion, but only immediately and before the 6th week of the 1st trimester. After that, pretty much everything exists to allow the individual to feel pain. I would rather see safe limited abortions than bad illegal ones, but the idea that another individual's life is considered full property has not been fulfilled since slavery. We all disagree on when it happens to some extent, but feeling, cognition, and recognition all happen in the womb. They are still baby humans and not insentient tumors.

Federal Government should stay out of the debate and allow communities to decide their views. People of faith and science can come together if they wished and inform on "life". We could be more productive with real education and dialogue. The faithful should not be acidic in protest, or pointing fingers, for only one was deemed worthy. Nor should they resort to jihadi measures of bombing and terrorism. I am a christian but I believe in law, education, science, and speaking with compassion and rationality, and not judging the worthiness of others.

Abortion is a complex issue that has no easy answers at the time. Instant rescinding of legalization could wreak havoc as back alley clinics proliferate. What we can do is inform and dismantle the power of Roe V Wade as a precendent. Viable birth can occur before 7 months now since medical advances have proven that we can save and rehabilitate premature babies. 1973 was a long time ago medically speaking. Remove Roe VS Wade and start over. Leave the domestic matters to the local communities, then the States and their voters to decide. If the Fed would move over, communities would be forced to work together to fill up the hole left from a long growing bureaucratic cancer.

Not that you are interested in facts or that it will change your mind but there is a BIG difference between objecting to a president's policies and disrespect. While there has been tremendous "push back" against President Obama's aggressive expansion of government, there has not been anything approaching the level of disrespect that GWB had to endure for most of his 8 years. It started with the claims that he "was selected not elected" and culminated with the shameful taunting that occurred during Obama's inauguration.

If you want to create a special organization to support the president's "push for a better America for every citizen", go ahead and do so but your claims that "No other President has had to endure the level of disrespect" seems to highlight a very selective memory. Consider that most of the resistance to his policies have nothing to do with disrespect, but rather represent the fact that many Americans do not believe much of his agenda will result in a "better America".

Fact - the majority of Americans are against his healthcare policy but the only impact that this has had on Obama is that he has pushed harder to get it passed quickly before public resistance can galvanize against it. Do not misinterpret the anger and frustration that have resulted as "disrespect".

Tough choice for who to support. Reed and Norwood both support our rights as gay citizens. As mayor, neither will have any say on the matter as gay marriage is a state issue and in a southern state like Georgia I can't see gay marriage happening in this century!
HOWEVER. As an indicator as to how these two candidates will govern our fair city we can learn a lot about their stand on this particular issue. Norwood supports gay marriage. Reed does not because of his religion.
Taken at face value, this indicates that Reed thinks it is ok to legislate on OTHER PEOPLE, his religion. It also indicates that Reed, for example, will not support lifting the ban of drinking a mimosa at Sunday brunch in our city because of his religion. Scary.

With two friends of the gay communy running against eachother we have to be picky. In this case, the choice is obvious. And I guess we should see who Bishop Eddie Long endorses and vote for the opposite. lol

JCT Confirms Failure to Comply with Democrats’ Mandate Can Lead to 5 Years in Jail
Friday, November 06, 2009

Today, Ranking Member of the House Ways and Means Committee Dave Camp (R-MI) released a letter from the non-partisan Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) confirming that the failure to comply with the individual mandate to buy health insurance contained in the Pelosi health care bill (H.R. 3962, as amended) could land people in jail. The JCT letter makes clear that Americans who do not maintain “acceptable health insurance coverage” and who choose not to pay the bill’s new individual mandate tax (generally 2.5% of income), are subject to numerous civil and criminal penalties, including criminal fines of up to $250,000 and imprisonment of up to five years.
ARE THE YOUNG TO PAY FOR HEALTH CARE OF THE OLD? video.foxbusiness.com/.../young-to-pay-health-care-for-old/?

Why did Glenn Beck, Rush & Sean say we could've avoided a health care crisis; It's a fake...mediamatters.org/research/200907230048
...Was the cost of health run up - on purpose?

1) Doctors limit their numbers (with horribly difficult med schools). Unions limit members too, to make more money. The 1st rule of
economics is The less there is of anything, the more it costs. Sports stars are few and have short careers. :college economics, '70s.

2) Medicare fraud ONLY is BIGGER in total volume than the drug business. Medicaid fraud is over $63 Million in 5 STATES
ALONE! :GAO Report. cnsnews.com/news/article/55091, 10/7/09 ...and that's ONLY medicaid !... Medicare & Medicaid
fraud is VERY easy & costs us $90 bill./yr. ...http://www.cbsnews.com/ stories/2009/10/23/60minutes/main5414390.shtml ...
There's no GOOD reason why it wasn't stopped years ago.

3) If you don't have a health card, you can't get free emergency room care even in "advanced" socialist countries...In the US,
how many millions of illegal aliens, the poor, and skinflints get free medical care in emergency rooms? & it's the law, no
coincidence. In the next 20 yrs Dem's want 103 million more immigrants! (When we're overpopulated & have little water?)
See Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act :http://www.heritage.org/Research/Immigration/wm1076.cfm

Obama Care wasn't going to ask if you're a citizen, let alone require it. He might give them amnesty & make them citizens.
Like shoplifting, it drives up costs for all... And, it buys votes with your money...Everybody wants a handout.

4) Why is medical malpractice reform OFF LIMITS ? Malpractice suits' outrageous awards and HUGE rates for malpractice
insurance cost us $200 billion / year in health costs. Serious reform could help 300 million Americans...A Democrat-
controlled congress has RESISTED REFORMS. (Trial lawyers are top contributors) ... :plime.com/l/133838-history/1/

Was this allowed to drive voters so crazy, they'd demand "CHANGE"? And Dem's would just happen to offer gov't-run health. We
need abt 5% more to stop ObamaCare & more taxes! Spread the word. POST! A FINAL VOTE IS TOMORROW / SATURDAY!

"In his April 5 radio address outlining the goals of the summit, President Clinton endorsed compulsory volunteerism -- and even called for
extending it to middle schools. In other words, the man who so famously avoided the dangerous duty of fighting in Vietnam as a young
man now proposes drafting a new generation of young people to perform a different set of difficult tasks." :Editorial, NY Post, 4/27/97.

I will not be back until another day, but business is here now. The deal with Ron Paul's stance on those social issues. I don't agree with RP 100%; he just happens to be one of the few politicians not serving special interests first. He serves logic and principles first.

To his defense, Ron Paul is a strict constitutionalist. He is not a socialist statist (Democrats) nor an imperialist (Republicans).

Straight from the ABC interview with Stossel:

http://abcnews.go.com/2020/Stossel/story?id=3970423&page=1&page=1

He says that the FEDERAL government should not be involved in drug or other social legislation. By the constitution the matter lies with the STATES. Context is everything.
He believes the constitution says such issues should be left to the states to decide, and if a state chooses to legalize marijuana, cocaine, heroin and/or prostitution, so be it.

In some ways I believe both Republicans and Democrats want the Federal government to be much more powerful than the States.
Both want to run your lives.

Sin is an individual matter and not a state policy.
Individual freedom should extend until it infringes on another's freedom.

It is so simple, but the parties would rather have control and serve their special interests.

You can blame Bush all you want because no one is listening anymore and that is a non-argument. It's weak.
If you want to bust my argument, find something to blame about Ron Paul, the idea of a true Fed free Free market system versus progressive statist control, or libertarianism.

In general I don't care as I did not support either Bush. I support Ron Paul and Cato moderate libertarians.
So why don't you criticize Ron Paul instead. I dare you to use the truth AND drudge on him.

Carter - Need I say more right now? He also passed on economic malaise and a deficit to Reagan.
Reagan - Here is the truth about the Reagan deficits and deficits in general... deficits may increase as the GDP increases and the GDP in the 80s soared.
Reagan also by means of an arms and Space race, won the Cold War and Bankrupted the USSR. It was the tactics the Romans used to eventually defeat Hanibal; starve his limited forces out.
Bush I - no comments or defense really.
Clinton - Was reduced to a charisma in 1994 when Republicans took over the House and Senate. Republicans under Newt Gingrich put reigns on spending and created the oft glorified "Clinton" surplus.

Bush II was out of control increasing government. I am not defending that administration.

Let's argue logic and economics in principle. Let's imagine a Ron Paul VS Obama debate or a Ron Paul or Badnarik or Aaron Russo VS Pelosi/Clinton break.

My favorite? I would to see Ron Paul whip lying, conjectural Alan "Die Quickly" Grayson in a debate or maybe Ron Paul VS Obama with no teleprompters.
What will America stand for in 2050?

The US should think long and hard about the high number of Latino immigrants.
By Lawrence Harrison

PALO ALTO, CALIF.

President Obama has encouraged Americans to start laying a new foundation for the country ¡V on a number of fronts. He has stressed that we'll need to have the courage to make some hard choices. One of those hard choices is how to handle immigration. The US must get serious about the tide of legal and illegal immigrants, above all from Latin America.
It's not just a short-run issue of immigrants competing with citizens for jobs as unemployment approaches 10 percent or the number of uninsured straining the quality of healthcare. Heavy immigration from Latin America threatens our cohesiveness as a nation.
The political realities of the rapidly growing Latino population are such that Mr. Obama may be the last president who can avert the permanent, vast underclass implied by the current Census Bureau projection for 2050.
Do I sound like a right-wing "nativist"? I'm not. I'm a lifelong Democrat; an early and avid supporter of Obama. I'm gratified by his nomination of Sonia Sotomayor to the Supreme Court. I'm also the grandson of Eastern European Jewish immigrants; and a member, along with several other Democrats, of the advisory boards of the Federati on for American Immigration Reform and Pro English. Similar concerns preoccupied the distinguished Democrat Barbara Jordan when she chaired the congressionally mandated US Commission on Immigration Reform in the 1990s.
Congresswoman Jordan was worried about the adverse impact of high levels of legal and illegal immigration on poor citizens, disproportionately Latinos and African-Americans. The principal beneficiaries of our current immigration policy are affluent Americans who hire immigrants at substandard wages for low-end work. Harvard economist George Borjas estimates that American workers lose $190 billion annually in depressed wages caused by the constant flooding of the labor market at the low-wage end.
The healthcare cost of the illegal workforce is especially burdensome, and is subsidized by taxpayers. To claim Medicaid, you must be legal, but as the Health and Human Services inspector general found, 47 states allow self-declaration of status for Medicaid. Many hospitals and clinics are going broke because of the constant stream of uninsured, many of whom are the estimated 12 million to 15 million illegal immigrants. This translates into reduced services, particularly for lower-income citizens.
The US population totaled 281 million in 2000. About 35 million, or 12.5 percent, were Latino. The Census Bureau projects that our population will reach 439 million in 2050, a 56 percent increase over the 2000 census. The Hispanic population in 2050 is projected at 133 million ¡V 30 percent of the total and almost quadruple the 2000 level. Population growth is the principal threat to the environment via natural resource use, sprawl, and pollution. And population growth is fueled chiefly by immigration.
Consider what this, combined with worrisome evidence that Latinos are not melting into our cultural mainstream, means for the US. Latinos have contributed some positive cultural attributes, such as multigenerational family bonds, to US society. But the same traditional values that lie behind Latin America's difficulties in achieving democratic stability, social justice, and prosperity are being substantially perpetuated among Hispanic-Americans.
Prominent Latin Americans have concluded that traditional values are at the root of the region's development problems. Among those expressing that opinion: Peruvian writer Mario Vargas Llosa; Nobelist author Octavio Paz, a Mexican; Teodoro Moscoso, a Puerto Rican politician and US ambassador to Venezuela; and Ecuador's former president, Osvaldo Hurtado.
Latin America's cultural problem is apparent in the persistent Latino high school dropout rate ¡V 40 percent in California, according to a recent study ¡V and the high incidence of teenage pregnancy, single mothers, and crime. The perpetuation of Latino culture is facilitated by the Spanish language's growing challenge to English as our national language. It makes it easier for Latinos to avoid the melting pot and for education to remain a low priority, as it is in Latin America ¡V a problem highlighted in recent books by former New York City deputy mayor Herma n Badillo, a Puerto Rican, and Mexican-Americans Lionel Sosa and Ernesto Caravantes.
Language is the conduit of culture. Consider: There is no word in Spanish for "compromise" (compromiso means "commitment") nor for "accountability," a problem that is compounded by a verb structure that converts "I dropped (broke, forgot) something" into "it got dropped" ("broken," "forgotten").
As the USAID mission director during the first two years of the Sandinista regime in Nicaragua, I had difficulty communicating "dissent" to a government minister at a crucial moment in our efforts to convince the US Congress to approve a special appropriation for Nicaragua.
I was later told by a bilingual, bicultural Nicaraguan educator that when I used "dissent" what my Nicaraguan counterparts understood was "heresy." "We are, after all, children of the Inquisition," he added.
In a letter to me in 1991, Mexican-American columnist Richard Estrada described the essence of the problem of immigration as one of numbers. We should really worry, he wrote, "when the numbers begin to favor not only the maintenance and replenishment of the immigrants' source culture, but also its overall growth, and in particular growth so large that the numbers not only impede assimilation but go beyond to pose a challenge to the traditional culture of the American nation."
Obama should confront the challenges by enforcing immigration laws on employment to help end illegal immigration. We should calibrate legal immigration annually to (1) the needs of the econo my, as Ms. Jordan urged, and (2) past performance of immigrant groups with respect to acculturation.
We must declare our national language to be English and discourage the proliferation of Spanish- language media. We should limit citizenship by birth to the offspring of citizens. And we should provide immigrants with easy-to-access educational services that facilitate acculturation, including English language, citizenship, and American values.
POPULATION TO DOUBLE... LATINO THE DOMINANT ETHNIC GROUP.....double the deficits above! And double the crime, graffiti, anchor babies and homes foreclosed on with bars on the windows.
Riverside will become the second most populous county behind Los Angeles and Latinos the dominant ethnic group, study says. By Maria L. La Ganga and Sara Lin
Times Staff Writers
July 10, 2007
Over the next half-century, California's population will explode by nearly 75%, and Riverside will surpass its bigger neighbors to become the second most populous county after Los Angeles, according to st ate Department of Finance projections released Monday. California will near the 60-million mark in 2050, the study found, raising questions about how the state will look and function and where all the people and their cars will go. Dueling visions pit the iconic California building block of ranch house, big yard and two-car garage against more dense, high-rise development. But whether sprawl or skyscrapers win the day, the Golden State will probably be a far different and more complex place than it is today, as people live longer and Latinos become the dominant ethnic group, eclipsing all others combined. Some critics forecast disaster if gridlock and environmental impacts are not averted. Others see a possible economic boon, particularly for retailers and service industries with an eye on the state as a burgeoning market."It's opportunity with baggage," said Jack Kyser, chief economist for the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp., in "a country masquerading as a state."Other demographers argue that the huge population increase the state predicts will occur only if officials complete major improvements to roads and other public infrastructure. Without that investment, they say, some Californians would flee the state. If the finance department's calculations hold, California's population will rise from 34.1 million in 2000 to 59.5 million at the mid-century point, about the same number of people as Italy has today. And its projected growth rate in those 50 years will outstrip the national rate ¡X nearly 75% compared with less=2 0than 50% projected by the federal government. That could translate to increased political clout in Washington, D.C. Southern California's population is projected to grow at a rate of more than 60%, according to the new state figures, reaching 31.6 million by mid-century. That's an increase of 12.1 million over just seven counties. L.A. County alone will top 13 million by 2050, an increase of almost 3.5 million residents. And Riverside County ¡X long among the fastest-growing in the state ¡X will triple in population to 4.7 million by mid-century. Riverside County will add 3.1 million people, according to the new state figures, eclipsing Orange and San Diego to become the second most populous in the state. With less expensive housing than the coast, Riverside County has grown by more than 472,000 residents since 2000, according to state estimates. No matter how much local governments build in the way of public works and how many new jobs are attracted to the region ¡X minimizing the need for long commutes ¡X Husing figures that growth will still overwhelm the area's roads.USC Professor Genevieve Giuliano, an expert on land use and transportation, would probably agree. Such massive growth, if it occurs, she said, will require huge investment in the state's highways, schools, and energy and sewer systems at a "very formidable cost."If those things aren't built, Giuliano questioned whether the projected population increases will occur. "Sooner or later, the region will not be competitive and the growth is not goi ng to happen," she said.If major problems like traffic congestion and housing costs aren't addressed, Giuliano warned, the middle class is going to exit California, leaving behind very high-income and very low-income residents. "It's a political question," said Martin Wachs, a transportation expert at the Rand Corp. in Santa Monica. "Do we have the will, the consensus, the willingness to pay? If we did, I think we could manage the growth."The numbers released Monday underscore most demographers' view that the state's population is pushing east, from both Los Angeles and the Bay Area, to counties such as Riverside and San Bernardino as well as half a dozen or so smaller Central Valley counties.Sutter County, for example, is expected to be the fastest-growing on a percentage basis between 2000 and 2050, jumping 255% to a population of 282,894 , the state said. Kern County is expected to see its population more than triple to 2.1 million by mid-century.In Southern California, San Diego County is projected to grow by almost 1.7 million residents and Orange County by 1.1 million. Even Ventura County ¡X where voters have imposed some limits on urban sprawl ¡X will see its population jump 62% to more than 1.2 million if the projections hold. The Department of Finance releases long-term population projections every three years. Between the last two reports, number crunchers have taken a more detailed look at California's statistics and taken into account the likelihood that people will live longer, said chief demographer Mary Heim. The result? The latest numbers figure the state will be much more crowded than earlier estimates (by nearly 5 million) and that it will take a bit longer than previously thought for Latinos to become the majority of California's population: 2042, not 2038.The figures show that the majority of California's growth will be in the Latino population, said Dowell Myers, a professor of urban planning and demography at USC, adding that "68% of the growth this decade will be Latino, 75% next and 80% after that."That should be a wake-up call for voting Californians, Myers said, pointing out a critical disparity. Though the state's growth is young and Latino, the majority of voters will be older and white ¡X at least for the next decade."The future of the state is Latino growth," Myers said. "We'd sure better invest in them and get them up to speed„m. Older white voters don't see it that way. They don't realize that someone has to replace them in the work force, pay for their benefits and buy their house."
This Jet is the USAF C-32, Boeing 757, that MADAME PELOSI uses.

And the Democrats want to talk about Sarah's dress?

Madame Pelosi wasn't happy with the small jet USAF C-20B, Gulfstream III, that comes with the Speaker's job...no, Madame Pelosi was aggravated that this little jet had to stop to refuel, so she ordered a Big Fat 200-seat USAF C-32, Boeing 757 jet that could get her back to California without stopping!

Nancy's Jet costs us, the hard working American tax payers, thousands of gallons of fuel every week. Since she only works 3 days a week, this gas guzzling jet gets fueled and she flies home to California , cost to the taxpayers of about $60,000, one way! 'Unfortunately we have to pay to bring her back on Monday night.' Cost to us another $60,000.

Folks, that is $480,000 per month and that is an annual cost to the taxpayers of $5,760,000. No wonder she complains about the cost of this war...it might cramp her style and she is styling, on my back and yours. I think of the military families in this country doing without, and this woman, who heads up the most do-nothing Congress in the history of this country keeps fueling that jet while doing nothing.

Madame Pelosi wants you and me to conserve our carbon footprint. She wants us to buy smaller cars and Obama wants us to get a bicycle pump and air up our tires.

If you think this is outrageous, forward it to all those on your email list! Keep in mind the figures above do NOT include cost of plane or crew, just fuel!

One wonders what her total package costs us? And she wants to tax our IRA's & 401 K's!

Book Income

The majority of the couple’s income, almost $2.5 million, came from proceeds on sales from the president’s books, “Dreams from My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope.”

The Obamas also reported $1,107 of capital gains for 2008. They don’t qualify for preferential tax rates for capital gains because they owned the underlying assets -- U.S. Treasuries -- for less than one year.

The first family’s income declined from 2007, when they earned $4.2 million. Book royalties contributed $4 million of that amount.

Retirement Contributions

Steven Bankler, a San Antonio-based certified public accountant who has advised the Senate on tax issues, said Obama may be the first president in recent memory to use retirement contributions to reduce self-employment income.

The Obamas reported giving $172,050 to 37 charities, or about 6.5 percent of their adjusted gross income, according to a summary provided with their tax documents.

The biggest recipients of the Obamas’ charitable donations were the anti-poverty group CARE and the United Negro College Fund, which each received $25,000. The Obamas gave $5,000 each to 22 other organizations. Among them were the United Way of Galveston, Texas, and Columbia University in New York, Obama’s alma mater.

Itemized Deductions

In all, the Obamas claimed $301,519 in itemized deductions for 2008, including their charitable gifts, state income and property taxes, and $54,323 in mortgage interest. Their deductions were limited by their high income.

Separately, the Obamas filed returns to reflect a $12,000 gift to each of their daughters, Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7. That money that is exempt from income taxes in 2008.

Obama and his wife also paid $77,883 in income taxes to their home state of Illinois in 2008 and $22,233 in property taxes on their Chicago home, the documents show.

The administration also released the tax return filed by Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill. It shows they paid $46,952 in federal taxes for 2008 on $269,256 in adjusted gross income. They also paid $1,827 in alternative minimum tax, a levy the Obamas avoided because their income was too high.

The Bidens paid $11,164 in Delaware state income tax.

Biden’s Income

Their income came from his Senate salary of $165,526 and her $67,840 pay from Delaware Technical & Community College. He also received $20,500 from Widener University. Biden, 66, also reported $6,534 in Social Security benefits and $9,563 in royalties from his book, “Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics.”

The Bidens claimed $61,617 in itemized deductions, including $23,561 in state income and property taxes, $37,264 in mortgage interest.
We are at war with "Radical Islam" not just radical islamists or terrorists but the entire religion. Their core focus is to have a world living under sharia law. We can not have soldiers amongst our ranks not williong to fight back against Islam. The interesting thing with this army Major will be to see if he gets the same federal protection that we are extending to hardened al quieda operatives caught on the field of battle. Will Eric Holder be pushing for or against this man and the crimes he has committed? What amount of investigation will we be willing to do to find out if he is part of a larger resitance within our ranks? And what safegaurds are we going to put in place to ensure the protection of our soldiers? Keeping in mind the military is not an equal opportunity employer, will we put aside being politicaly correct and remove the muslim ranks from amongst our men and women without allowing influence from CAIR or the ACLU? Or will we give in to the farse that political correctness precedes national security? This is the second attack against our troops from muslims within!

Is the above a tactic taught in Indoctrination Schools for future progressive statists? I thought I would give you the benefit of a doubt instead of saying that you are clueless on political ideaologies as most sheep are.

Democrats are not liberals any more. They haven't been since before FDR. Some liberal types buy into it, but Democrats are progressive statists. They believe that the state should run everything and have a hand in regulating every single human transaction in the US. They want to engineer their secular humanist beliefs in "fairness" without really helping people improve their claim on their own lives. They abhor true freedoms like the right to speak out or speak your opinion. Equal protection under the way via civil unions is not enough for statists. They insist they everyone be forced to accept gay marriage, which will one day include forcing churches to minister them and arresting or firing those who have a different opinion. When the statists start regulating churches and private life that is when the takeover is complete.

No Democrats are not liberals.

The real liberals now are Libertarians. They support real freedom of speech and ideas.
Ultimate 5th column penetration,
warns best-selling 'Muslim Mafia'
Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan the Fort Hood killer!

"Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor." That's what Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan said about America before he and possibly other Muslim soldiers at Fort Hood shot 43 fellow soldiers, killing 12, who were returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

"He said Muslims had a right to attack" the U.S., said Col. Terry Lee, who worked with Hasan at the Texas post, where the devout Sunni Muslim refused deployment. "He said Muslims shouldn't be fighting Muslims," he added. "He was very clear on that."

Shockingly, a growing number of other Muslim American soldiers as well as civilian contractors have put their religion before their duty. Some like Hasan have killed, or tried to kill, their fellow soldiers. Others have infiltrated the military in order to undermine it and aid and comfort the enemy.

According to an explosive new book, "Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America," Hasan is just the tip of a jihadist Fifth Column operating within the ranks of the U.S. military – which is too blinded by political correctness to see the threat.

It's here now: Jihad in America! $4.95 today only! Save $15 on new DVD from makers of 'Obsession'

Quoting from a classified military briefing, "Muslim Mafia" reveals that this Fifth Column has penetrated "every branch of the U.S. military." The Islamist enemy has even infiltrated the al-Qaida detention camp at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

(Story continues below)

Security officials at Gitmo have been investigating a possible new spy ring involving several "dirty" Arabic linguists who are accused among other things of:

* omitting valuable intelligence from their translations of detainee interrogations;

* slipping notes to detainees inside copies of the Quran;

* coaching detainees to make allegations of abuse against interrogators; and

* meeting with suspects on the terrorist watchlist while traveling back in the United States.

More than 75 former Gitmo detainees have returned to the battlefield or anti-American jihad. Some met with the suspect Muslim translators. Others were privately counseled by chaplains also under investigation for security breaches.

Gitmo security officials recently met with FBI agents in Philadelphia to aid their investigation into one of the Muslim linguists under contract at Gitmo, according to sources quoted in the book who are familiar with the investigation.

They also this summer briefed members of Congress about the prison camp's internal security breaches, according to "Muslim Mafia," which is co-authored by former federal agent P. David Gaubatz and investigative journalist Paul Sperry, author of "Infiltration: How Muslim Spies and Subversives Have Penetrated Washington," which is being used by law enforcement and the military.

"Three years of investigations have revealed the presence of pro-jihad/anti-Western activities among the civilian contractor and military linguist population serving Joint Task Force Guantanamo," states a copy of the classified Gitmo briefing, which was prepared in May 2009 for the FBI and CIA, as well as the congressional intelligence committees.

The report explains that dirty Arabic linguists have gathered classified data involving detainees, interrogations and security operations in an effort to "disrupt" Gitmo operations and U.S. "intelligence-collection capabilities."

It goes on to specifically finger the Muslim Brotherhood, which it calls a terrorist group, in the conspiracy. The Muslim Brotherhood and its U.S. operations and front groups are the subject of "Muslim Mafia."

"These actions are deliberate, carefully planned, global, and to the benefit of the detainees and multiple terrorist organizations, to include al-Qaida and Muslim Brotherhood," the briefing states, according to the bestselling book.

The enemy infiltration is not limited to Guantanamo.

The report strongly suggests that Islamist spies have penetrated nearly every sensitive U.S. security agency involved in the war on terror, potentially compromising intelligence government-wide.

"Persons participating in this activity move regularly between multiple contracting companies, various intelligence agencies in the U.S. government [FBI, CIA, DIA, NSA, etc.], and every branch of the U.S. military."

The investigation comes on the heels of a major Muslim espionage ring that the FBI broke up at Gitmo in 2004.

A former Army Muslim chaplain was charged with espionage, mishandling classified documents, and lying to investigators, and served hard time in the stockade. Two of his Muslim brothers at Gitmo, both Arabic interpreters, were convicted of stealing or mishandling classified documents.

Hasan, the alleged Fort Hood terrorist, is a U.S. citizen whose Palestinian parents emigrated from the West Bank.

Col. Lee said Hasan complained about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He had hoped President Obama would quickly end them, but when they "didn't come to a quick end, he got more agitated."

This summer, Lee says he overheard Hasan praise the Muslim who shot two soldiers at a military recruiting station in Little Rock, Ark.

"He was happy" about it, Lee said in an interview with Fox News. "He said 'Maybe we should have more of these people. Maybe people should strap [on] bombs and go into town squares.'"

There are some 40 Muslims at Fort Hood, and an estimated 15,000 Muslims serving throughout the U.S. armed forces.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations cautioned against a rush to judgment about the shooter's motives.

"The motive of the attacker is not yet known," insisted CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. (The FBI recently cut off ties to the Washington-based group after identifying it as a front group for Hamas terrorists in the largest terror finance case in U.S. history. CAIR and its founding chairman were named unindicted terrorist co-conspirators in the case.)

But other current and former Muslims, who oppose CAIR and dispute its claims to representing American Muslims, say the shooter's motive is clear: violent jihad in the name of radical Islam.

"America needs to awaken from its sleep and its unwillingness to face the issue of fundamentalist Islam in our midst which undoubtedly is the cause of the tragedy in Fort Hood," said Walid Shoebat, a former Islamist terrorist.

"Some very serious decisions need to [be] made when it comes to having Muslims protecting our country, as it is impossible to know whether they may be honorable or foxes in the hen house."

Dartmouth scientist says Oswald rifle photo real

By HOLLY RAMER

The Associated Press

CONCORD, N.H. — The infamous photograph of Lee Harvey Oswald holding a rifle in his backyard would have been nearly impossible to fake, according to a new analysis by a Dartmouth College professor.

Oswald, who was shot to death days after being charged with the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy, claimed the photo of him holding a rifle in one hand and Marxist newspapers in the other had been doctored. Over the years, many others have pointed out what appear to be inconsistent lighting and shadows.

Story continues below ↓

But Hany Farid, director of the Neukom Institute for Computational Science at Dartmouth, said the shadows are exactly where they should be.

"You can never really prove an image is real, but the evidence that people have pointed to that the photo is fake is incorrect," Farid said Thursday. "As an academic and a scientist, I don't like to say it's absolutely authentic ... but it's extremely unlikely to have been a fake."

Farid, whose work using digital forensic tools to analyze images often has been used by law enforcement, said he has been getting requests from conspiracy theorists to analyze the photo for years. He said he held off until he had the appropriate software to create three-dimensional models of Oswald's head and surroundings.

With the modeling software, he was able to show that a single light source could create both a shadow falling behind Oswald and to his right and one directly under his nose. Farid admits even he was skeptical before starting his research.

"When I looked at the photo, I didn't understand it. I didn't understand the shadows, and I do this for a living," he said.

But Farid's latest finding, which will be published in the journal Perception, is in keeping with his earlier research that showed the human visual system does a poor job at judging whether cast shadows are correct, he said.

"It turns out we're really bad at it. Even though our visual system is very, very good ... we are really bad at judging shadows," he said. "I'm bad at it and this is what I dofor a living."

He spent about two months off and on analyzing the Oswald photo.

"I felt because it's the Kennedy assassination and because there's so much history about this, you really want to answer this correctly," he said. "You don't want to make a mistake on something of this magnitude."

Yes, and it's called trickle down economics. That happened during the eighties with Reagan and his Republican congress. Cut the taxes, borrow the money to run the country, and go multi-trillions in debt. I had rich friends that got huge tax breaks, but, didn't think they should give their money away any more than they though government should help the poor. If Republicans want to help they can start by paying off Reagan’s multi-trillion dollar debt, then we can move to Bush’s multi-trillion dollar debt, and so on.

Why is it that Democrats assume Libertarians and Republicans are the least charitable? The presumption is a false argument created from a slippery slope assumption. Democrats and all progressives assume that a person who is against the coercive income tax (Libertarians) or excessive taxation on capital gains, death tax and payroll (Republicans), is a person who is stingy and not willing to help other people. The opposite is often proven but to no fanfare from the media.

Fiscal conservatives desire to help others with their own money and contributions and they like to know that their charity directly helps others. Progressives want to take everyone's money and redistribute it through channels that cost money and don't really work. Reduce our taxes and end the con income tax and charity will rise and local help through missions and local charities will be far greater.

Democrats' Plan to Help 'Uninsurables' Requires 6-Month Wait (SIX MONTHS!!!!)

Democrats' Plan to Help 'Uninsurables' Requires 6-Month Wait

In addition to a six-month wait to qualify for the health insurance program, there's a more fundamental issue -- whether $5 billion set aside for the three-year program is enough.

WASHINGTON - You're afraid your cancer is back, and a health insurance company just turned you down.

Under the health care bills in Congress, you could apply for coverage through a new high-risk pool that President Barack Obama promises would immediately start serving patients with pre-existing medical problems.

Wait a second. Read the fine print. You may have to be uninsured for six months to qualify.

"If you are a cancer patient and have cancer now, you can't wait six months to go into a plan because your condition can go from bad to death," said Stephen Finan, a policy expert with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network. He called the waiting period in the Senate bill "unacceptable."

Advocates for people with serious health problems, as well as some insurance experts, are raising questions about one of the most important upfront benefits in the Democratic health care legislation: a high-risk pool for the medically uninsurable.

Obama proposed the pool in his September health care speech to Congress. Intended to serve the most vulnerable as a temporary fail-safe, it would stay in place until 2013. That's when insurance companies would be banned from denying coverage because of medical problems.

Government subsidies to make coverage more affordable for millions of uninsured would also start that year.

Now, concerns are being raised about the design of the high-risk pools. In addition to the six-month wait, there's a more fundamental issue -- whether $5 billion set aside for the three-year program is enough. The money would be used to help people in poor health pay premiums.

Obama credits his Republican presidential rival, Sen. John McCain of Arizona, for the risk-pools idea. But when the GOP candidate proposed it in 2008, the estimated cost was $7 billion to $10 billion a year.

The six-month wait is in the health care bill the Senate Finance Committee approved last month. To qualify for the pool, patients must be turned down for coverage because of a pre-existing condition and uninsured for at least six months.

"If you are somebody with cancer or a heart condition who needs immediate coverage and immediate treatment, that's not very helpful," said Karen Pollitz, a Georgetown University health policy professor.

Senate Finance staffers say the restriction is meant to prevent people switching from more expensive coverage to take advantage of government assistance.

But the House health care bill unveiled last week by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., doesn't include a waiting period. Instead, it would require insurance plans who "dump" seriously ill patients to repay the federal pool. "The House provision will provide immediate relief for people with high-risk conditions who have no alternative for coverage," said Finan.

It may be easier to fix the waiting period than the financing.

Both the House and the Senate Finance bills set aside $5 billion for the pools.

"It doesn't seem like it's near enough money," said Douglas Holtz-Eakin, who was a top domestic policy adviser for McCain. The McCain campaign ultimately concluded it could take as much as $20 billion a year to properly run risk pools, he said. The White House says McCain's proposal was more elaborate and not directly comparable to Obama's.

If the Democrats' risk pool starts running out of money, the government may have to start a waiting list, raise premiums or take other unpopular measures. Congress could be asked for a bailout.

Several independent experts say concerns about the financing are valid.

"It would seem that ($5 billion) is going to be small relative to the need," said Thomas Buchmueller, a University of Michigan business professor.

Some 30 states now have risk pools for those who can't get health insurance on the private market, covering about 200,000 people at a cost of around $1 billion a year.

"This is clearly not going to be enough money to cover everybody," said Pollitz.

Insurance expert John Bertko, a visiting scholar at the Brookings Institution, said it may be possible to stretch the $5 billion, but there's a small margin for error.

Bertko said his "back of the envelope" math suggests there are about 1 million uninsured Americans in poor health, or five times the number currently covered by state high-risk pools. If all of them signed up for the new federal pool, it would burn through the $5 billion in a year.

However, people eligible for government benefits often fail to sign up. And if only one-third were to enroll, the budget could work.

That's cutting it close. "No doubt about that," said Bertko.

Just don't get cancer or a brain tumor!!!!! Because Obamacare will kill you dead!!!!
U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON – A crowd of at least 10,000 has descended on the Capitol to protest the trillion-dollar health-care bill and demand meetings with members of Congress.

The throng steadily grew as buses unload for an "Emergency House Call on Congress" to stop the House from passing the bill.

A group of legislators led by Reps. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., and Pete Hoekstra, R-Mich., hosted the emergency town-hall meeting. House Democrats, led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi, have presented a nearly 2,000-page bill, combining different versions drafted by three House committees, which is projected to cost at least $1.1 trillion.

Send Congress a message – no government health care, or you're outta there – through WND's exclusive "Send Congress a Pink Slip" campaign!

Rep. Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said he expects the House take the final version to the floor on Saturday.

But thousands of enthusiastic Americans have packed the Capitol grounds, chanting loudly: "Hands off our health care," "Kill the bill" and "You work for us!"

Many attendees are wearing patriotic clothing, carrying U.S. and "Don't Tread on Me" flags and waving signs that say, "You lie," "No socialistic health care" and "Politicians lie, patients die." They arrived as early as 8:30 a.m., coming by bus, car and plane from from all across the country, including states such as Oregon, Ohio, New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Kentucky and Texas.

Patsy Bailey, protester from Durwood, Md., told WND she believes lawmakers should be subject to their own health-care plan.

"Nobody knows what's in the bill," she said. "Are they going to sign up for this?"

Carolyn Bowman of Germantown, Md., had her own message for Congress, "I'm totally against government controlling our health care. Stay out of our lives!"

Eric Johnson, an attendee from Richmond, Va., said the issue is bigger than health-care reform.

"Along with standard reasons – like we can't afford this, and don't meddle in our lives – the biggest thing is that I know the people messing with this don't care about health care," he said. "It's a power grab, money grab mostly, for the Democratic Party. I'm fed up with the Republicans, too."

Protester Della Ellar of Richmond, Va., described herself as a proud WND reader. She plans to ask Nancy Pelosi why she won't accept the same health-care "reform" she is imposing on America.

(Story continues below)

Tim Phillips, president of Americans for Prosperity, a group that helped bus 10,000 Americans to the Capitol, said, "Obama, Pelosi and Reid refuse to listen to American taxpayers who have clearly demonstrated through rallies, phone calls and congressional visits that they don't want to pay for a trillion-dollar, government-defined health-care plan."

Missy Smith, president of Women Against the Killing and Exploitation of Unprotected Persons, or WAKE UP, told WND she is leading a sit-in protest outside Pelosi's Washington office.

"We're protesting because the bill would provide taxpayer funding of child-killing," she said. "We will crumple the massive bill one page at a time and leave it tattered on the floor. We are deeply troubled that Nancy Pelosi wants to fund the murder of innocent babies under the guise of health care. She's a Catholic, and she should know better."

As a post-abortive mother who has counseled many others through the injuries and haunting sorrow of abortion, Smith said she's ready to be arrested if that's what it takes to stop this legislation fraught with danger to women, babies, the disabled and the elderly.

As WND reported, Rep. Bachmann urged citizens to come to Washington today and "pay an emergency House call to Congress."

"This is the most effective way we have to kill socialized medicine," she said. "Nothing is more effective at reaching a congressman than having a citizen come to Washington, D.C. – not asking for a handout, not asking for tax money, not asking to take some liberty away from somebody else, but just asking for freedom."

Actor John Voight and "Liberty and Tyranny" author Mark Levin spoke at today's event. Dr. Betsy McCaughey, former New York lieutenant governor and senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, spoke as well.

Bachmann noted that Pelosi may have garnered the 218 votes necessary to pass the legislation Saturday.

Hoyer told reporters today, "We certainly have well over 218 people who say they want to vote for the bill."

Bachmann asked citizens to bring video cameras, office numbers and phone numbers of their representatives so they can find them and "get them on video saying how they will vote." The bill, if adopted, she said, "will be a disaster. It is unconstitutional. We need the help of American people."

WND editor Joseph Farah urged citizens who could not attend the rally to send "pink slips" to every member of Congress.

Bachmann said Americans are sending a crucial message to Congress today, making it clear that they do not support the Democrats' health "reform."

"We Republicans can't stop the passage," Bachmann said. "But with resistance from the American people, I am fully confident it can be defeated."

Take the American government back from the liberal left wing socialistic autocrats and defend freedom, liberty and justice!

THE ANT AND THE GRASSHOPPER

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MODERN VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

CBS, NBC , PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.

America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Acorn stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Rev. Jeremiah Wright then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames President Bush, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and once peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2010.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've sent this to you because I believe that you are an ant & not a grasshopper! Make sure that you pass this on to other ants. Don't bother sending it on to any grasshoppers because they wouldn't understand it, anyway.

Most likely they buy there explosives and chemicals with cold hard cash, for everything else, they use "visa's".
We are constantly being exploited for trying to be " better than them". They catch our soldiers or civilian contractors and torture to the point of death or beheading, no one says any more but " man that sucks". We use a few harsh interrogation techniques, that while they border immoral to some, there legal status has not been overturned despite the new administrations wishes and dreams. We publicly attack ourselves while our enemy goes unchecked. And there were no grateful people for the attacks thwarted. Our open border policies, lack of surveilance, and anti-backlash laws will be our downfall if we are not careful. Obama just signed a hate crime act that will increase punishment to help deter hate crime, or will it protect those here amongst us from being singled out as terrorists, even if they are?
I wonder why the very same committee didn’t send a similar letter, to a single one of the four companies Gore is associated with, after his visit to Capitol Hill in April…
