I'd prefer a cost effective rental apartment (maybe 800'), and/or that in addition to the rent, I could either watch (house-sit) a property for an owner (or seller) and/or assist in repairing or maintaining a property while I occupy it. If I would be house sitting, I'd appreciate a 2-4 advance week notice to relocate... no problem as I have traveled so much I've become adapted to basic hotel type living/traveling.
I have a construction remodeling and mechanical back ground and can fix, repair, remodel or rebuild mostly anything. Presently, I'm in fairly good shape, exercising daily, even though I'm 62 (and widowed) and I'm not looking for charity, but I would appreciate a reasonable cost-effective mutually-beneficial rental relationship.
Under the right circumstances, I would consider a 'shared' housing with a home owner. I would do some/most of my work out of my living space, (on the phone and internet), as I do insurance marketing/CORE benefits enrollment set-up type of work.
There are occasions that I could be traveling for weeks at a time and therefore I'd prefer cost-effective minimal living space/work area, (2 desks, work table and 3 file cabinets), room for a bed and kitchen access space which to me is renting just to store some of my basic electronic working office stuff all the weeks I might be out of town.
I am very clean, organized, a non-smoker, non-drinker, (kind of a health-food athlete), I hardly ever cook anything other than with boiling water as I mostly eat out (a 'Free Samples' - Whole Foods junkie), or I drink my protein/veggie shakes from a blender or just prepare a healthy sandwich; and the only appliance I mostly use is a refrigerator. I haven't had a need to use an oven, coffee pot, microwave or a dishwasher in years. I like all pets but have no pets and I am not bashful about my Christianity.
All in all, I believe I am an ideal 'renter' candidate because I take care of things and if I see something that need attention I will attend to it and/or fix it.
I would be interested in a rental SIX or so miles either side (North or South) of Highway 92, between 400 and 575 in Woodstock.
A little bit about myself: I'm tidy and clean. I'm a nice guy (at least I always try to be ;)), and I'm very easy going.
I'm currently renting a room in a huge and very nice place in Cambridge, MA, which I will be vacating for these two months. So if by some lucky coincidence you have to go to Cambridge for these two months and you are interested in a house swap, I would be very interested in that as well.
