Develop and maintain technical product, application and market knowledge.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
	1.	Three (plus) years technical specialist experience, with emphasis in technical sales.
	2.	Three (plus) years experience in a technical and/or applications customer support role and/or Three (plus) years experience in an applications scientist role.
	3.	Three (plus) years experience in a clinical laboratory and/or clinical research laboratory.
	4.	Expert level proficiency in technologies such as immunoassay, clinical electrophoresis, and other sample preparation, technical applications and automation platforms.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage Contract Manufacturers
� Manage all relationships and interactions with contract manufacturing organizations (CMO)
� Coordinate the assembly and dissemination of product forecasts and purchase orders.
� Manage inventory to insure maximum service level to customers while minimizing idle inventory and the liability associated with product expiry.
� Provide regular CMO reviews, establishing performance benchmarks and performance vs. minimum expectations.
� Provide applicable input to contract negotiations with CMO candidates.

Manage Third Party Logistics Provider (3PL)
� Develop and communicate all functional requirements for assessment, negotiation, and administration through a 3PL provider.
� Manage all relationships and interactions with selected 3PL provider.
� Coordinate activities with the 3PL provider and the company as it relates to customer order processing, new product launches, reporting and analysis, state and federal regulations, etc.

Customer Supply Chain

� Coordinate customer requirements with CMO�s and 3PL providers to insure the company meets and exceeds customer expectations.
� Develop a customer scorecard to measure company performance in the areas of lead-time, service level, etc.
� Develop and deliver customer presentations of the scorecard.

Requirements/Qualification Standards:
� Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required
� Minimum 3 years experience in distribution / logistics, pharmaceutical industry preferred
