As I have seen many responses I had to find the original story. I am a military brat, born and raised. Been around POW's,not what the real meaning is, and military gold diggers, so we call them. If your sister went to deployment meetings like she was suppose to and been an army wife she wouldnt be in this situation. The military has many support groups and financial assistance for families, along with legal assistance. Maybe your brother-in-law doesnt think it's his kids. The army doesnt play that pay til your 18 shit, it is blood test all the way. So there are ways to get him to pay without having him put out then she will ass out without him working as she has no other income. And being a tax preparer he has every right to claim the kid. He was the income earner in the house, or the higher income so the EIC goes to him.He should have filed married filing jointly so I dont see how she would have gotten any money anyway without him, and he must have filed single which shorted them both money. So all that bull about a sign you better think twice before she screws herself. The military doesnt take kindly of bad publicity.
