Freelance Editor $1000 to $1500 an issue (Kennesaw, GA.)
We are a media company based in Kennesaw, Georgia. We are looking for someone with strong publishing, editing and journalism skills. Ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years experience as an editor for a newspaper or magazine in a mid-size or larger market. Candidate must have a proven track record for hitting deadlines and working under pressure. The position will require editorial planning, interviewing, writing, and copy editing.
Communication and interpersonal skills are needed to interact with readers and advertisers. Candidate must possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• Understanding of organizational needs
• Strong editorial skills, proper usage of grammar and spelling
Compensation:
$1000 to $1500 an issue. 32 page quarterly magazine.
