L. Hopkins manufactured the Perfection Clothes Dryer, which he patented in 1887. According to a 1904 plat map, the manufacturing facility was on Seely Street in Miles Grove, Pennsylvania. However, according to plat maps dated 1912, the company was relatively more significant, had passed to Frank Hopkins, and Miles Grove had become North Girard, Pennsylvania.
This specific drier labeled "North Girard" was made before 1912.
