Look is a French company known for innovating the first clipless road pedals. "Clipless" is a bit of a misnomer as they actually clip to your shoes rather than using a cage to wrap around as they do in older bikes or beginner level bikes. Since then, Look and Shimano have competed for top market share in the clipless pedal segment with Look's Keo lineup leading the French charge from Keo Easy, Keo Classic, Keo Sprint, Keo Max, Keo Carbon, and all the way to the very top at the Look Keo Carbon Ti, standing for titanium spindles. Among the platformed pedals (ones that can be ridden with normal shoes, so excluding Speedplay), the 190 gram weight of the Look Keo rules all. As a matter of fact, the feat was so phenomenal that even Look itself has not managed to best its old record with current production pedals as the new Keo Carbon Ti pedals weigh the exact same weight at 190 grams! This pair of red and black Keo Carbon Ti's are in like new condition and they spin like they were just off the factory line. MSRP is $367.50 (see below) plus 8% tax, which is $397, selling for just $125.

"A top lightweight performer, but at a whopping cost

Titanium axles, a carbon reinforced body and good quality bearings produce a pair of pedals that tip the scales at under 200g.

Servicing is easy, but experience has shown that leaving the high quality roller bearings inside well alone is the best way.

The good thing about these is that even with the spring tension wound up tight they’re still easy to clip into, and the tension mainly affects the release."
