The clamp area is 31.8mm standard and the bar was designed specifically for comfort and vibration absorption on top of the often conflicting requirement for race-ready stiffness. Bontrager proclaims that IsoCore technology trickles down from their Domane endurance race bike design and decreases road vibration by 20% over traditional carbon bars (in link below). Considered an engineering marvel, these bars are an extremely solid and light carbon drop handlebar specialize at easing out road vibrations while being stiff enough for professional level sprinting! Retails $375 plus tax, which is about $405. Like new for less than a third at just $125.

The Bontrager bar added ride comfort, converting our favourite corrugated tarmac sections to mere bumps. Swapping from hoods to tops only multiplied the improvements, the firm EVA foam helping grip and wrist comfort.
There’s all the stiffness you could want for climbing or sprinting, and the minimal amount of flare helps avoid forearm clashes when on the drops.
