Terrific antique tobacco cutter! Used in the early 1900s, the tobacco cutter was often bolted to a counter top at a General Store and cut tobacco into small pieces to sell to customers.

This is the Brown's Mule tobacco cutter from the R. J. R. Tobacco Company and manufactured by Enterprise MFG Co in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Made of heavy cast iron, the tobacco cutter consists of a base, handle and cutter blade.

Descriptive characteristics:

19" long
4 1/2" wide under the blade
2 1/4" wide under the handle
7" high with the handle down
20" high with the handle up
5" width of blade
Brown's Mule - written on base
R. J. R. Tob Co - written on arch over blade
1 and 2 inch - written in cutting area
5837 Made Enterprise MFG Co Phila USA - written on bottom of cutter
