Another fine classic from Topshelfmopars!

This is a great example of a very rare and desirable investment grade classic car. Its an original factory Hi-impact Lemon twist color (FY1) code with black interior, black vinyl top and black longitudinal 340 hockey stick side stripe 1970 Plymouth ‘Cuda

If you are in the market for a good E body project you’ll be hard pressed to find a better starting point. While not a Hemi or 440 sixpack car this car is still quite desirable. Chrysler only built 2372 340 4bbl 4 speeds for the 1970 ‘Cuda and while no one knows exactly how many are left there is no doubt there are very few not to mention the highly desirable high impact color of Lemon twist color (FY1), elastomeric front bumper (A21), black bucket seat interior (P5X9), black vinyl top (V1X), Rally gauges (A62), pistol grip 4 speed (D21), console (C16), road lamps (L34), hood pins (J45) and black longitudinal tape stripe (V6X).
Add to the very impressive options list the fact that it was built AFTER the 1970 model year production was supposed to have ceased. (July 24th, 1970 was built date-per Galen Govier white book production typically ceases 2nd week of July and new model year starts august 1st.) and you have a very desirable piece. This could be last 1970 Cuda built but have no way of confirming that nor can I venture a guess as to why it would have been built during the time that the factory was supposed to be gearing up for the next model year. Maybe it was a special ordered car for an executive?
All the rust repair that this car needed has been expertly repaired with AMD panels. See pix for the progression/evolution that this car went thru. We cut out all the rusty parts including trunk, quarters, ect, (all frame rails were good as was the main floor.) Sent the car to the blaster then spent a couple hours blowing all the sand out then sprayed the entire body top to bottom with 2 coats of PPG epoxy primer (including the insides of the rear frame rails) then fit and installed all the new sheet metal. We then sprayed the backsides of the full OE quarters (and undercoated them) and outsides of the outer wheel houses and trunk extensions with epoxy primer and the correct FY1 Lemon twist to further rust proof the car. (Something the factory didn’t even do). We also seam sealed all the joints on trunk and floor pans same as factory did and then sprayed everything with 2 coats of the factory FY1 Lemon twist including the entire underside. The car is bullet proof now.
See the pic with all the loose parts on the ground for ALL the parts we have that are not currently attached to the car. We don’t have ANY other parts. Every piece of trim is accounted for except the ¼ wide that goes around the tail light panel. Even have the vinyl top trim. It has a very nice original restored grill. Hood, fenders and doors are original pieces. Both front and rear windshield channels were blasted and primed. All glass is present and in good shape except front windshield. We cleaned and regreased the quarter glass and door glass regulators when we had the quarters off so they roll up and down real nice. We installed 2 new full OE quarters on both sides. New one piece trunk floor, trunk extensions, outer wheel houses, deck filler panel, roof skin (and RH side roof rail) and complete upper cowl. We also had to install a new 4 speed hump as someone had butchered it for some unknown reason. Both front and rear suspension was blasted at same time body was and sprayed in 2 coats of black PPG epoxy primer. Wheels are 15x7” steelies wheels and used tires with lots of tread left.
The engine is a freshly rebuilt (not fired yet) 340 with all new pistons, rings, bearings ect. Rear end is the original 8-3/4” housing, axles with factory sway bar. Trans is an A-833 23 spline 4 speed.

Dash frame has been blasted, primed and painted. Door panels are nice and has a pretty nice set of gauges. Nice rear seat. Steering wheel is restored. Pistol grip shifter is nice with good chrome.
This car has had the first few steps of a rotisserie restoration with all the hard work done and is ready for you to take it to the next level!
Fendertag, dash vin plate and body stampings all match title.
