Attention patina lovers! 1973 Ford F-250. Former electrical contractor’s fleet vehicle. Georgia truck.
I bought it from the second owner, who purchased it in the early 80’s in this banged-up condition. He had a camper on the back and took it on yearly trips to Minnesota and Florida. Still has the aftermarket cruise control be installed on it. He kept it in a garage, so it’s mostly surface rust. Solid floors.
300 cubic inch straight-six rebuilt in the late 90s and has about 30k miles on it. Three on the tree column shifter. Weather Guard truck box with key included.
The good:
Engine and transmission very solid. Starts on a dime after sitting for a week.
New brake master cylinder, fuel pump, carburetor, battery.
Newish fuel tank.
Windshield washer even works.
The bad:
Carb runs rich and will start flooding after a couple miles, so the truck will need to be towed.
Needs new brake pads/shoes.
