Position Overview:
The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying new business leads, managing client relationships, negotiating contracts, and selling advertising space for the magazine. This role requires strong communication skills, sales experience, and a basic understanding of advertising and media.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, research, and pursue potential advertising clients
Develop and maintain strong relationships with businesses and agencies
Present advertising options and customized packages to clients
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms to close sales
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, proposals, and contracts
Collaborate with editorial and design teams to ensure ad placements meet client expectations
Stay informed about advertising trends, competitor publications, and market opportunities
Attend networking events, trade shows, and community functions when necessary
Qualifications:
Previous experience in sales, account management, or advertising preferred
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to build rapport and maintain long-term client relationships
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
Basic understanding of advertising, marketing, and media terminology
Familiarity with print and digital ad formats is a plus
Reliable transportation if attending client meetings or events
