I am a research scientist at Georgia Tech that works with a team of engineers and designers to develop technologies to support independent living of older adults.
We are in the process of developing a suite of "smart" bathroom technologies which we hope will help facilitate safer activities in the bathroom.
Currently, the state-of-the art bathroom is equipped with an array of sensing technologies to measure essential indicators of function, as well as automated controls to adjust fixtures and hardware (e.g. grab bars, toilet seat). Researchers are conducting a study to evaluate the functionality of the bathroom, as well to assess how the fixtures should be adjusted based on the users' needs and abilities.
We are looking for individuals 55 and older (with or without mobility limitations). You will be reimbursed $30/visit for your participation (and up to $300 for 10 visits, if you are willing to participate multiple times). Please contact Susan Lee, MS, OTR/L at show contact info

Thank you for your consideration!
