We are looking for energetic, outgoing, and friendly people to help us during DragonCon Weekend! (29 August - 3 September 2019)
This is a temporary gig, with opportunities for permanent hire.
Training is required before the event, and you will need to be available to come in for at least 7-10 days of training beforehand. (the hours and scheduling of these training days is flexible)
DragonCon is a really exciting and unique event, that takes place in Atlanta every year. You will meet lots of fun, friendly and creative people while helping our small business serve over 60,000 attendees. Our restaurant is located within Peachtree Center which serves as a food hub during the event. Panbury's is a counter service restaurant offering a delicious assortment of sweet and savory hand pies, salads, coffee, tea and more. We are a local family-owned and run business with a wonderful, welcoming team. This could be a great opportunity for you to learn more about the logistics of catering for large events, baking, sales, and work with some really awesome people!
Our savory hand pies have become a mainstay for many of the DragonCon goers, and we will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There will be two shifts of 9 hours each. Shifts are between Shift 1: 6AM-3PM and Shift 2: 2PM - 11PM.
• A positive and go-getter attitude
• Restaurant or catering experience
• Ability to stand on your feet for at least 9 hours
• Flexibility to work early in the morning or until late at night.
• Ability to lift at least 30lbs
• Ability to communicate effectively and speak to customers
• Barista or baking experience is a bonus!
Your placement on the line will be based on your experience and strengths. So please be sure to highlight any relevant skills in your application: such as sales, catering, coffee making, baking, prep, dishwashing, customer service etc.
