How To Apply Metallic Epoxy
The most important part of laying new epoxy floor is preparation. If the concrete floor is not prepared properly, the epoxy coat will not bond well with the concrete, reducing the longevity dramatically.
We first mechanically grinding the concrete floor. This removes all dirt, grime, oil, stains and etc. It also helps create the right concrete profile, by opening the concrete pores.
Then we make sure to repair all cracks and holes in the concrete slab.
Once we are happy with the condition of the concrete slab we apply epoxy primer to the floor. If the surface is not properly sealed, we will have to apply a second coat of primer.
The forth step is to apply Metallic Self Level Base coat. This is where the magic happens.
The final step is to apply clear Polyurethane topcoat, that protects the floor from UV rays and damage.

How Long Do Metallic Epoxy Floors Last?
Hard to determine how long the floor will last for as it comes down to how much wear and tear the floor gets and how well the floor is maintained.
But not to worry we supply a 15 year warranty on our floors and with this you can expect your new Metallic floor to last much longer.
