I am a Stanford University graduate with six years' experience helping students prepare for the GMAT and other standardized tests. I can help you improve your GMAT score by identifying your weaknesses from day one and teaching you those concepts and strategies that you need to master to achieve your target GMAT score. A unique feature of my GMAT prep course is that it is adaptive: I administer a diagnostic test at the beginning of the course and after every four subsequent lectures to determine what areas we need to work. I devote my lectures to teaching you strategies and concepts that will help you overcome your weaknesses.
Your Quantitative score (up to about the 80th percentile score) will depend in large part on your knowledge of the test content. However, if you are looking to score at or above the 80th percentile on the Quantitative section, you will need to learn a lot of shortcuts and time-saving strategies that they don't teach in high school math classes. I can help you learn the content and strategies that you need to master to excel on the GMAT.
Your Verbal score will depend on your mastery of sentence correction, critical reasoning, and reading comprehension concepts and strategies. I provide detailed coverage of sentence correction and grammar rules to help you improve your performance on sentence correction question types. I also teach strategies that will help you uncover patterns in the answer choices so that you can quickly eliminate junk answer choices and focus on those answer choices that the test makers actually put some thought into creating. Finally, I teach strategies that will help you improve your accuracy on critical reasoning and reading comprehension questions.
I offer the following prep options:
Option 1: 24 two-hour sessions spread over seven weeks. During the course, I cover the most fundament concepts and strategies that you need to master to score in the 600-720 range. I have developed detailed solutions to several retired GMAT questions that I assign to students after lectures to reinforce the concepts and strategies covered in class. The total cost of the 20-session prep cost is $1440.
Option 2: Students can opt to take a 12-session prep course focused solely on Quantitative or Verbal concepts (at a cost of $720) if they are already doing well on the Quantitative or Verbal section.
Option 3: I offer an additional 12 sessions beyond the 20-session prep course for more advanced students who would like to score in the 700+ range. The total cost of the 12-session advanced prep course is $720.
Option 4: I offer one-on-one tutoring for students who desire tutoring in only specific areas at a rate of $35/hour. (All my sessions are currently one-on-one online).
Each student must purchase the following resources:
1. GMAT Prep Exam Packs 3-6
2. Official Guide for GMAT Review, 2018 or 2019 edition.
