Super clean 1991 Takamine EF 350 MC -Built in Japan at the Sakashita factory (Nagano Prefecture), top-tier Japanese production, (not the later Taiwan/Korea runs. - )Solid Sitka spruce top – - Back & sides: highly flamed (tiger-striped) maple – Takamine only did this flashy maple on a small batch of EF-350MCs around '90–'92; most of the regular ones were plain mahogany. - Neck: mahogany with rosewood fretboard and snowflake inlays. - Preamp: Fishman Classic 4 system 4-band EQ, and the under-saddle piezo. In '91 they switched from the earlier Takamine-only electronics to Fishman on the MC models. - Binding: multiple-layer with abalone soundhole ring – this is the limited version of the EF-350MC before they dropped the flamed maple and went back to mahogany in '93–'94. -bright and loud unplugged, and that Fishman preamp still slays for live gigs. Rare bird in that blonde tiger-stripe finish – most people have never seen one in person. The quality is on par with a Taylor 3 series ( maybe 4 series) plays and sounds fantastic. In beautiful condition with just a few small imperfections in the finish. Frets are like new. If you are thinking about getting a Taylor, don’t bother . This guitar sounds just as good and This preamp blows away the horrendous “expression system . This is a 36 year old classic from Japan and will continue to rise in value.
