The SG Special- classic design that made it relevant, played, and loved. This early 60s style SG Special has the look and sound of an old classic. Thin mahogany body with Vintage Nitro Laq. finish with a light relic-worn in hand rubbed finish.The comfortable, SlimTaper mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard are well known for fast, effortless playing. The G.M. P-90 Soap Bar Pickup Set Cream Alnico 5 for Gibson- with adjustable pole pieces and 8.2 ohms neck, 9.1 ohms bridge are noted for their fat snarl when driven and their smooth sweetness when played clean. The SG Special is equipped with the 3-way toggle switch and has hand-wired controls with Orange Drop® capacitors.
