Tanglewood's acoustic guitars have won awards in the UK as the best-selling acoustic brand. This is a UK company, and they also sell electric guitars. The older models used Entwistle pickups (see Entwistle website). I have two, one black and one white. They are both brand new. I only played them 5-10 minutes to make sure everything worked. Trem bars included but not shown. The Tanglewood guitars that used Entwistle pickups were discontinued a few years ago and are practically impossible to find. These have Entwistle AS57's which shoot for the sound of a 57 strat; they sound awesome. These sold for $500 8-10 years ago and the build quality, components, etc. compare with anything in that price range. IMO they beat anything in that price range in sound because of the pickups, they sound much better than the generic pickups in $500 guitars. Alder bodies and both still have the plastic on the pickguard, pickups and trem cover. Both come with gig bags. Fully set up with Elixir 10's, intonated, and as needed, truss rod adjustment, string height, etc. Please note: The white one ($399) has a finish flaw just below the bridge. I cannot get it to show in photos. It is circular about the size of a dime. It appears that the flaw is actually the wood not being sanded smooth. The white finish covers it and is as white and glossy as the rest of the finish. I seem to remember one or two more, but I cannot find them because I have lost some near vision. The black one ($449) has off white pickguard and trem cover and is flawless. PLEASE, no phone calls before 10am or after 9pm.
