The BT series was Ampeg’s venture into creating solid state versions of their popular flip-top amps, aimed at being more accessible to the every day gigging musician. This is the BT-15C, a 100 watt amp powering the original 15” speakers. This 2x15 combo amp is the more rare big brother of the BT-15 (I have one of those for sale as well). This amp can do it all! It’s all original, even including the wheeled dolly that is rare to find still attached to these amps. These amps also had an “electroluminescent” faceplate that glowed when powered on. This one unfortunately no longer glows. However, I’ve traced the faulty component down to a single fuse that if replaced would fix this issue (see last pic). I just have no idea where to source the part or how to swap it out. It’s a bit noisy on power up and down, but that’s to be expected with 60’s electronics. As you can hear in the video, the amp sounds great being played. Priced low at $1000 due to the faceplate not glowing. Open to trades, so PM with any ideas or offers!
