The purpose of this position is to provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients and directing them to the appropriate staff member. This position is also responsible for providing administrative support to the members of the law firm. The Receptionist/Office Assistant assists Attorneys and Paralegals with managing documents, answering phones, communicating with clients and other support tasks.
Works in conjunction with the team to welcome new clients, serve existing clients, and run an efficient law firm.
Serves as the first point of contact by greeting clients, screening and routing incoming calls, and managing the firm’s voicemail system.
Performs administrative duties such as making copies, answering and directing phone calls and greeting clients.
Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail.
Composes, prepares, and processes legal, general and confidential correspondence, including e-mail and faxes..
Screens and provides information in response to telephone calls, responding independently when possible.
Supports the Office Manager/Senior Paralegal with administrative tasks that may be related to AP/AR.
Ensures that all necessary information is shared between clients and staff on various files.
Utilize case management system for electronic data management of legal files and creation of management reports.
Continuous on-the-job learning.
Prepares for and participates in recurring file review meetings.
Other duties as assigned by Attorney or Senior Paralegal.
