De Je Vous, All Over Again! (Atlanta)

The more things change, the more they stay the same!

I had this nout of body experience this week. Some may remember that I wrote a few weeks ago about a car title that I couldnt get from the Department of Revenue. Its now been two months; still no title.

So like a good apparatchik I call DOR earlier this week. after waiting on the phone for about 10 minutes, I get an announcement that I am number 74 in line and estimated time is 104 minutes! Being a privileged white guy, I wasn't prepared to tolerate this .

So, I search for a phone number for the Governors Office of Consumer Affairs. In the past I got a few potholes patched using this facility. Looks like the Kemp Administration has reorganized website so this site has become invisible. I'm all over the net; finally find the Governors Office. Answered quickly and professionally. I am transferred to a functionary at DOR who is able to locate my file and reports that one of the titles Im seeking was processed the previous day. The second one I applied for the same day was still in process.

Naturally, me being me, I had to express my displeasure with the system. The functionary tells me that they're way behind since the implementation of the "new system."

Bells go off. New System? How? Why? I'm having visions of OboMomma's rollout of the ObamaCare Website. 32 Billion Dollars and it didn't work! Thank heaven , the Manhattan Project had better results or we'd all be driving Toyotas.

And then, when the functionary told me that the system was 55,000 titles behind, I realized the none of us has a prayer. WE are so mired in the system , we'll never climb out. Hang on to those firearms, brethren , we're going to need them.
