HVAC/Refrigeration, Restaurant Equipment Tech (Metropolitan Atlanta)

compensation: $16-40 per hour (based upon experience)

Are you an experienced Restaurant Equipment, HVAC, Refrigeration Tech? Do you have at least 5 years HVAC/R industry experience? If you are, then this might be for you?

SUMMARY
The technician will perform all aspects of maintenance and repair work on HVAC and refrigeration equipment at customer locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC/R systems and equipment for commercial customers.
• Troubleshoot. repair and maintains equipment, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), cooking and beverage equipment and refrigerators.
• Providing outstanding customer service. Looking for someone with great customer service skills and a neat & professional appearance.
• Ensure that work orders and all related documents are properly completed and closed. Good record keeping and paperwork completion is a vital part of this job.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate well with the general public and experience in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Demonstrate company core values of integrity, stewardship, operational excellence, customer centeredness, teamwork, people development, and innovation at all times.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE
• High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand basic schematics for mechanical equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC, kitchen equipment and refrigeration equipment.
• Hot side experience is a plus.
• Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
• Mandatory 3+ years of refrigeration repair and maintenance experience (supermarkets preferred but not mandatory).
• Residential and commercial air conditioning experience.
• Ice machine experience.
• Experience working with, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Rack Systems is a plus.
• Chillers, cooling towers, Boilers, Pumps, experience is a Plus.
• Experience working with, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Rack Systems is a plus.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit or assigned work location. Bend, lift, carry, crawl, climb, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
• Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 25 lbs. regularly, 30-35 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Climbing steps and ladders regularly.
• Withstanding temperature extremes in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must wear the correct protective and safety equipment at all times.

EQUIPMENTS USED
• Diagnostic equipment. Refrigeration gages, leak detection devices, volt meter.
• Repair equipment. Ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
• PPE
• Company motor vehicles.

PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION:
• Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certification or CFC Certification preferred.

SCHEDULE:
• Must be able to work some weekends. We have both night and day work.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:
• Dispatched from your home directly to jobsites (not required to report to an office every day).
• We are able to offer $16-40 per hour (based upon experience).
• 401K.
• Paid Time Off.
