We are seeking some volunteers to help Medical Patient Modesty, a 501c3 non-profit organization that works to educate patients about their rights to modesty in medical settings, how to have maximum modesty for procedures, and how to protect themselves. You can find our web site at http://www.patientmodesty.org. We also have a web site about sexual misconduct by doctors at http://www.sexualmisconductbydoctors.com.

Medical Patient Modesty has received emails from women over the years who were abused by male doctors especially gynecologists, but they did not want to report them. One young woman went to a male gynecologist in Alabama who her cousins said was great ended up abusing her. She did not want to report him because she was afraid he might hurt her cousins. There are many more similar cases to Dr. George Tyndall and Dr. James Heaps who have sexually abused women than you can imagine. Most doctors can get away with abuse. Surgery patients are most vulnerable because they are under anesthesia. Many patients under anesthesia have been abused and they never know it.
We have developed a booklet about how women can protect themselves in medical settings. You can see some information about our booklet at http://patientmodesty.org/womensbooklet.aspx.
Medical Patient Modesty is distributing a 12-page booklet educating women about how they can protect themselves in medical settings with tips to prevent sexual abuse and modesty violations. The medical industry has become very gender and moral neutral and patients need safeguarding. In society, girls and women are specifically given tips to protect themselves from sexual abuse, but you rarely hear about preventing sexual abuse in medical settings. Sexual abuse in medical settings is more common than many people realize. We need to reach out to as many women as possible with this booklet. Look at the example of Dr. George Tyndall, a full-time gynecologist at University of Southern California's student health clinic for 27 years—who treated many female students and got away with abuse for a very long time.
We are doing a fundraiser to raise money to distribute booklets. Our goal is to distribute 100,000 booklets before the end of this year. Look at the bottom of http://patientmodesty.org/womensbooklet.aspx. . We also want to give them to older women as well as funding allows.
Please watch this video about why you should support Medical Patient Modesty at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIlRTB-jq6Q. We talk some about the booklets in this video.
We are looking for volunteers in this area who can:
1.) Distribute the booklets to women especially college students
2.) Help to raise awareness about our fundraiser and booklets on news outlets in Los Angeles area. We prefer someone who has connections to those news outlets.
Please email us your resume and explain how you can help us. Please give details about your connections to news outlets.
