Two beauties. A 45-year-old and a 47-year-old Schwinn Varsity Sport road bikes. Both have been restored. They both have new tires and tubes, new cables and cable housings, new brake pads, and new internal bearings.
Both bikes are in pretty condition with original paint, decals, and bartape. They both have scuffs and all that a vintage bike will have, but they are both very pretty and work perfectly. They ride solid and smooth. They ride, shift, and brake perfectly.
The men's bike has a 22 inch frame and should fit a rider 5'6 to 5'10 or so. The ladies bike has a 21 inch frame and fits a rider about 5'4 to 5'9.
Get in touch if you need more info and pics, or want to talk more about the restore. I'm an independent bike mechanic. It takes me a week to do a restore. No short cuts are taken. There's not a nut or bolt on them that I haven't touched.
$475 for the pair. Price is firm.
Due to all the spam, please put the word DOG in your email.
Let me know if you have one you would like me to restore. Or one you would like to sell.

Old grease, combined with dirt, will harden and damage the operation of the bearings. This will cause internal damage, and can make your bike dangerous. If you're looking to buy any used bike, find out when the last time the bearings were overhauled (not just a "tune-up"). If it has not been done in 5 yrs, I strongly recommend having it done.
