Heated dog house that's highly weather-resistant. I've bult a lot of dog houses in my life and I built this one a few years ago for the dog you see in the pictures. But he didn't work out living here and was given to a nice lady delivering phone books. So in other words, this dog house has mostly been just sitting since I built it. All the weather-sensitive wood is pressure-treated including the plywood siding and support structure underneath. I have included pictures of both the original construction along with some current, recent pictures. The heat is supplied by a code-approved light fixture which holds a 75 wattt, shatter-resistant, flood light bulb. Regarding whether dogs like light inside their house, I think they like it because it elimantes that "spooky cave" feel of a dark dog house. Due to the large amount of insulation and door flap, this dog house will stay toasty warm inside no matter what the weather here in Georgia. One time I put my hand in there on the coldest night and it really was amazingly warm. You'll notice I left the orginal door flaps on it in case the buyer wants to keep those. I usually make those flaps out of old tarps and they're 3-layers like those heat-retaining things they use on loading docks. They work great and I can demonstrate how to easily make another one if buyer wants to do that. The roof is home-quality metal roofing. (the stuff they guaranteee for 40-50 years.) I pressure-washed the exterior today and also pressure-washed the old carpeting that was inside in case buyer wanted to keep using it. I know of nothing wrong w this house. I built it to last/endure and it has with flying colors. When I built this originally, I estimated the value to be at least $500. And although I'm not going to let it go for peanuts now, my asking price is surely below it's actual functional value. The inside still needs to be shop vacced out. Please contact me with any question/comments. Payment: CASH ONLY, sorry, no checks. If you already have a dog house and want to learn how to make those flap doors, feel free to contact me about that, too. I'll be glad to help. Please note: due to it's solidly-built, double-walled construction, this house is pretty heavy. So buyer will probably want to bring helper to load. The landscape timbers you see under the house are a separate thing I built to keep house up off ground and to help in levelling it. Of course, it goes with the dog house. Thanks for looking at my ad.
