Responsibilities
They are responsible for finding and assigning loads, planning routes, tracking deliveries,
communicating with drivers and customers, and handling any issues or emergencies
that arise along the way
Planning and optimizing routes for drivers, considering factors such as traffic, weather,
road conditions, fuel costs, and hours of service regulations
Communicate directly with drivers to provide route updates, resolve issues, and provide
support throughout the day.
Track the status of vehicles, and provide real-time updates to customers.
Ensure that drivers adhere to safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
Track the availability and condition of company-owned vehicles and equipment.
Serve as the main point of contact for customers regarding shipment statuses, delivery
times, and other inquiries.
Resolving any problems or issues that arise during the transportation process, such as
delays, breakdowns, accidents, or customer complaints
Maintaining records and documentation of the transportation operations, such as
invoices, bills of lading, driver logs, and fuel receipts
Monitoring truck repairs and ensuring their regular maintenance
Upload all documentation to clients, such as photographs of deliveries or inbound
freight issues
Reviewing driver's logs, including dispatch calls and arrival times
Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as
company policies and procedures
Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and rules
Participate in safety meetings and training
Proficiency in using computer software and applications, such as Google (Gmail/Google
Docs), GPS, and electronic logging devices.
