I am selling a used Bendix / King KT76A Transponder in good working condition, however the Avionics shop said it was transmitting "hot" and cannot be used for IFR flights. He indicated that it was fine for VFR but not acceptable for IFR flights. I cannot provide any meaningful explanation beyond this, because I don't fully understand the problem.
