Up for sale is this 2010 Focus FSL Race Series Prototype Full Suspension carbon fiber mountain bike. Focus went on to produce this bike, and they made variations with different components (and weight advantages). A similar production build would MSRP back then for about $9,000. I bought this bike back in 2021 from someone who assembled a complete bike using this frame with a bunch of new old stock parts, but then I removed many of those heavy parts and replaced with better, lighter parts. Most notably the DT Swiss XMM 100mm Twin Shot Fork (with remote lockout) I purchased new, as well as the white Shimano MT55 wheels with 15mm thru axle front and quick release rear.

This is a lightweight bike, weighing in around 25 lbs. You can get it down a little if you went with a tubeless setup, but I'm running inner tubes with the Maxxis Ikon / Ardent setup.

Also has a 1x conversion, single 30 tooth Shimano chainring in the front, with an 11-46 wide range cassette in the rear.

Other parts include a Fox Float RP23 Boostvalve rear shock, Shimano Deore XT crankset and derailleur, Avid Elixir 3 hydraulic brakes, RXL carbon fiber stem and carbon fiber flat bars, Blackburn saddle, and 7075 3D forged alloy seat post.

Again, this bike is newly built up from many new old stock parts, and is in excellent condition. This was a project bike for the first guy, and was a project bike for me too. I've only ridden this a handful of times since I completed the build. When the sunlight hits the partially exposed / clearcoated carbon fiber material, it is glorious!
