From the internet: This piece of travel literature was originally published in 1953. Written by a French author, it is the tale of a man’s singlehanded effort to re-forest a valley in the Alps. Each picture is created by wood engraving by Michael McCurdy.
This edition was in collaboration with Global ReLeaf. The afterword section is beautifully written personal interview with Jean Giono and his life journey.
